TV Throwdown: Friends vs Seinfeld
What, in your opinion, is the better show? Is it Friends or is it Seinfeld? Is it both? Do you hate both shows with such a passion that you'd rather watch The Voice on repeat?

In all honesty, I never got the appeal of Friends. It just wasn’t for me I guess. I liked Seinfeld, though. I found that funnier and the characters were quirkier.

Seinfeld great characters and it was really funny

I respect what FW cartoon did for the turtles franchise but it is the most overrated and hard to watch of the 3 turtles cartoons. |

Friends is complete garbage. Seinfeld is overrated as hell too but considerably better. Larry David's humor is great.

Oh man that is a hard call....
I think I'd have to go Seinfeld as it was pure escapism on T.V. A zero-drama show "about nothing". And I think it holds up better than Friends because of that. Friends was a fun show too, but I think there is something to be said that a show is more sporadically re-watchable when it's just an anthology show. I.e., it's easier to revisit Star Trek TNG than it is DS9 although both are great. It's easier to just "pop in" a DVD of FW TMNT than TMNT 2k3 even if TMNT 2k3 could be argued as the better show. Friends had about the same level of continuity as late Seinfeld seasons (George and Susan, her parents, etc) but Friends had a small level of drama that Seinfeld filled with straight comedy for the show. Hard, hard call which is "better" though. |

Seinfeld by a landslide. I can't even sit through 5 minutes of Friends.

Friends is only worth it for the first four seasons, after which it's a cartoon.
