Looks to be new packaging. The current one is the four individual releases in a slip case and quite bulky. Probably the reason for the release. Also the US are getting Season 1 released as one set, may be mirrored release of it.

Aptly released in time for the movie to come out too, capitalising on that.
Alot of TV shows have had rereleases with newer packaging around the release of similar franchise releases. 24 box sets changed and the Doctor Who releases of the new series were streamlined.

Yes, that would be what we in the US are getting in early October. I'm glad you guys are getting a better release along with our first :)
