Hi everybody,
I got this from Steve Lavigne's shop last year. I noticed the head is different. no pupils and has the full set of teeth. I'm guessing it's a first issue. How common are these?

The head looks like giant Raph's but repainted. Maybe it was a misprint that was made with the plastic Leo was normally made with? The reason I say tha is because each turtle's eyes are shaped differently and that is straight up Raph's head but different colors.

Was thinking the same thing. Definitely Raph's head.

The initial question actually is: Is there a stamp of authenticity on Leo's feet or something like that?

This is no bootleg. There is a stamp. Again, i got this from Steve Lavigne. I am not near my desk to get a shot of the stamp, but Here is a promo picture from 1989 featuring the figures:

Maybe you got a rare prototype.

Yeah, I'd definitely say that's a test or pre-release production sample. Pretty rad.

Do you need the figure's Katana sword?

That is awesome! I wonder if it is indeed a very early manufacture. One way to tell is to look for marking around base of head. Also look for color variation around the bandanna very closely.
