Cool stuff. His B&R would've fit in a lot better with Bayturtles, I think. I like the film designs more, but still. Casey's basically the toy in live action form, pretty rad. Would work for a future movie just fine. Interesting to see what cues they did take from Dave though.

IDW Shredder looks PERFECT and is considerably more minimalist than this version, even though this version is also awesome.

Michael Bay sucks.

No wonder B&R looked so good, guy has done some pretty cool looking Turtle art before.

Damn they failed hard on Casey's final design choice, what where they thinking not going with Dave's design which is basically a realistic take on the toy. :ohwell:

They should have had Dave from the beginning and not that other guy, the Turtles might have looked a little less dumber despite Bay's "make them bigger" mandate.

You know what, after seeing this concept art, I can't help but feel disappointed now. Why didn't we get these guys? What thought processes went on in the producers' heads that said 'Nah, B&R, Casey, Shredder and Krang aren't good enough in this art." Did they think these guys weren't OT goofy enough? That's the only thing I can plausibly think of at this point, because of how they did up the guys in this movie.

It's crazy how big of a misfire they made on the design. It looks like everything was moving in the right direction early on.

I'm wondering if there was a more straight forward FW adaptation script early on in development for the first movie. Between this Shredder art and the B&R concepts posted a long time ago-- they're right off of the TV screen and don't really match The Blue Door script at all.

I get that goalie masks irl don't look like the one Jones sports, but really, the first goalie masks were plaster. No reason Jones mask isn't possibly a home-made jobby. It's pretty iconic.
