The face they chose for Mikey is so typical, and so bad. Hopefully Neca changes his face. I doubt it. So disappointed with what they chose for Mikey.
Couldn't agree with you more about Mikey.

I think he looks okay. But he is the worst looking of the four.

His scale bothers me a lot more than the face sculpt.

Same. I don't care one bit that they didn't make a smaller body for him, but bloody hell, at least make the head proportionate to the body!

Omg yes! I really hope Mike doesn't have the same build as the others. It's hard to tell from the pictures but he looks too beefy. As his head is smaller he seems like a brick **** house compared to the other guys.

Granted I never understood why Don was more muscular than Leo in the 1990 movie. Possibly more muscular than Raph.

Cuz Don is the f'in boss.

He did save the turtles and kill shredder in the original comic. Never forget.

Wow, I didn't even notice that the boys had different builds in the movie. Cool.

I think Mikey looks okay, but if you guys notice something, I'm sure to eventually. Hope he gets fixed.

True, he just doesn't seem like the body builder type. He doesn't have to be a stick but still.

1990 movie had different builds done right. It was subtle and not ridiculous.

Mike's head was sculpted during a period in which they thought different bodies could be a possibility, which is why it's somewhat smaller. There will be no fixes, they confirmed that months ago. Folk's just have to settle for the scale issue.

Oh so you heard it confirmed from NECA that the body sculpts will not vary? Well that clears it up. Mike will be the pro wrestler of the group.

In other news, for Canadians, Raph is in stock at CmdStore. Obviously Americans etc. can order there too (American site) but it ships from Montreal.

I got my Raph today and he is great. The one thing is he is a bit top-heavy and forward leaning. His ab crunch is very loose so he seems stuck forward. Does anyone else have that?

Not me directly, but folks inquired on Twitter and reported the various responses in this thread over time. I doubt either of us wanna search these 86 pages for it, but it's here, somewhere. Unfortunate, too. If they had just upscaled the head sculpt a little bit it'd be a lot less irksome (not that it'd stop me from buying these if I had the cash!).

& while I don't own any of these, I have read quite a number of people reporting the same issues you're having. Dunno a fix though.

Probably not, unless they do a 1/12 set as a comic con exclusive or whatever. I don't have the room or the money for these big guys. I could see getting Leo some day if the aftermarket prices aren't ridiculous.

A 1/12 or even 1/6 scale if this set would be nice but I feel they would lack some of the detail. Like myself you are a massive fan of the original film so you deserve to own at least one of these in your life. If you had just one would you open it or keep it sealed?

I usually open everything, but I've kept these in box so far.

I don't have a good spot to display yet and all the reports of the loose ab crunch are my reasoning.

But I do want to pose these guys one day.

I don't care about extra skin texture, there's too much as it is. The likeness is what matters to me, & that would maintain in a smaller form. Anyway, I'd have it opened, naturally.

Makes sense, I agree likeness is most important and they did an amazing job with that IMO.
