That sucks something fierce.

Is there an HR you can go to, Katie?
Because that's one hell of a hostile work environment.

Keep a tally of what's said. Write it down. Document the ever living crap out of that.

There is an H R, but I’ve gone down that road on a different matter and it was basically career suicide. I was a fast up and coming “star” in the company before that. Now, stuck in career quagmire.

I’ve been looking for another job since late 2016, but there isn’t anything comparable around here and I have an aging parent that I need to stick close to. At the end of the day I am the sole income for my family. I’m kinda stuck for now.

Well that's all KINDS of illegal, but yeah...holy crapstacks is that a terrible situation.

Well...you could start an annoyance jar?
Every time they crack something offensive drop a coin in the jar.
Then when it's full...
Spoiler:
dump it into a sock and smack them with it.
...I mean, buy yourself something nice. Or donate it somewhere in their name.

Yeah, Fuzzy ethics in this company. EEOC my a$$.

I’d love to take that guy out. Like, if I had nothing else to lose, just punch the crap out of him. But. Gotta. Be. Soft.

Heh, those comments were the topic of conversation today.

Sad thing for me is that I 100% know that when I tell people I’m from Alabama, they judge me just as if I say the things this guy does. All because that’s all anyone ever sees from here.

The sheer irony of him whining about his poor "European privilege" yet not being reprimanded for this... I hope you find a better place to work in the near future.

That's one of my biggest worries over the fact that my store is closing come April and I'll lose my job. Not just finding something else, but finding a GOOD place in terms of the employee environment. I'm certainly not making great pay where I'm at, but the vast majority of the people are all pretty awesome so it's been a bit of a trade off. Not sure how so many ended up under one roof. Will miss it.

unfortunately I don't have the art talent to do anything with them. that's the most frustrating thing of all. best I can do is imitate what other people do. But when I try something of my own, no matter how many times I Try to get get better at it, it still stays the same crap.

sigh.

Don't feel too bad. I'm not especially artistically talented either- my main talent is in writing. Which is just as hard in its own way. But it took YEARS of practice and studying various styles to get where I am now.

dude, I feel your pain on that one. I love to draw, its a very relaxing and therapeutic hobby. But I am some what limited to drawing fan art of my favorite cartoons and shows. And even then I'm mostly able to draw only when I have something to look at. I can't..."draw out of my head" so to speak. Do you know what I mean?

I also have trouble drawing small when I draw I mostly draw faces or from the shoulders up on a character. drawing smaller to show more of the body I find it much more difficult to get the detail of the faces (especially facial expressions) to look right, and they often look...off...

I feel inspired to draw or write at times, often browsing at the art supplies in stores but don't have talent there, still, always the option for classes or just practice.

is there a way to get rid of suggested groups on facebook?

ad blocker doesn't seem to remove it and it just clutters up the page.

This resonates with me hard.
Nothing makes me feel like undergoing some massive creative endeavor like wandering through an art supply store.
Now mind you the only craft I partaken is knitting and occasional cosplay, and yet I have this abundance of art supplies.

I told myself a few years ago I was going to try to teach myself how to draw, this has yet to happen.

First day of liquidation at my store... Had to be in early to help get the first week of sale signs up. So sad. Almost feels a little like seeing someone go into hospice care, but for a nearly 55-year-old store instead.

On the plus side, at least I got a good, much needed happy maker in the mail.

God dang patriots.

I'd love a sony style email hack to show at least 60% of their games where one via cheating by the NFL to make them a WWE style 'villain'.

BTW, why was that game over at 1:24 with a score so close? the Vikings won with 10 seconds left.

Yeah not happy the Patriots won. I fully believe they are paying refs to look away or make calls in their favor. And then theres that issue of deflated balls and spying on the other team's playcalls or whatever.....

Well if my dad's beloved Eagles -- damn him for not being alive to see this after I grew up with him always yelling at the tv because the Eagles sucked for most of forever! -- manage to hold on to the lead they have right now (currently showing the Vikings who is boss in their home) and end up going head to head with the Patriots in the Super Bowl, that's entirely okay if you root for the Eagles.

I believe they've supposedly only gotten that far twice before and lost both. Last time I think was against...the Patriots. If it ends up that same match up, well I hope it's a bloodbath this time, figuratively speaking.

(In reply to Vegita-San, but you too Duckie if applicable. )

Dang... came back from half time and the 7 to 21 turned into 7 to 31, so far in 3rd quarter. (Really, when did these guys turn good...? lol) Would be something else if they got to teach the Patriots a lesson then.

Grind...

Oh god, I hate liquidation. I do not like the looks of what may feel like having Black Friday for a few months. (Figures they only care to come shop now that we'll be losing our jobs and feel no need to behave with any ounce of consideration toward employees.) Damn I wish I wasn't made to work every god damned weekend. So burned out from this one and dreading that I still don't get a day off until Tues. *cries*

even the people who don't follow these things are starting to think the refs are on the patriots payroll..and it all started with a dubious call against a winning jets team.
