Moms Be Like: "I'll take you to see Aquaman, sweetie!"
Dads Be Like: "I'll take you to see Dora The Explorer, honey!" I mean, it's not funny, but it's kinda funny.

Yeah, I think that statement is kind of funny. Though the fact the lead actress is only 17 makes that statement less funny.
So the lead actress playing Dora is named Isabella Moner. She voiced a character on Dora and Friends: Into the City. Would have been really great if she actually voice Dora herself. |

Apparently Danny Trejo (sp?) is playing her monkey? Saw this yesterday. If so, all the more reason to go see this chucklefest! (Cause there's no way anyone can take this film seriously...)

Benicio Del Toro is doing the voice of Swiper... so apparently he'll be some kind of CGI creation. Maybe they're not quite happy with the finished product there yet.

Creepers be creepin'.
Spoiler for Content warning. Viewer discretion is advised.:
* Keep in mind that Isabela Moner was seventeen at the time of filming. * It didn't take long for someone to bring their perverted garbage to the yard. Disgusting. This is what Brie Larson was talking about. This is why film criticism is currently going down the drain. Perverted male reviewers are ruining the innocence of cinema. I mean anyone that is worth their salt don't really care. It's a dora movie. I mean it's a literal "who?" reviewer.

But on Brie Larson, let's be honest. She'd be more concerned on wether or not the reviewer was white.

Just be glad they aren't talking about a ten year old, that's Dora's actual age isn't it?

Well that's pretty cringy. Half expected it to be some guy who had a crush on Dora as a kid...not a 70-year-old, old enough to be her (or much of the main cast's) grandfather. Yuck.
I mean, cripe, it's a kid movie with a teenage Dora. I'm pretty sure she can have a big adventure without bringing her potential sex life into it. |
