The Last Airbender movie

It's out in 2010 and is based on the famous franchise known as Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Here's the trailer:

I am actually really looking forward to this movie. I hope they didn't change the heart of the story but didn't just make it a carbon copy but live action.

The character I am most interested in hearing and seeing is Uncle Irra.

Problem with the movie is that it's written, directed, and produce by M. Night Shyamalan.....and we all know how well his movies end up.

And apperantly it's the first film in a trillogy....

Thats a fairly brash generalization, Raph's Girl. Not all of SHamalan's movies "end up" any particular way. His recent films have been ****, for sure. But his earlier stuff was good, and maybe he'll show more restraint with this rather than going batsh*t crazy again.

I don't know why anyone would want to see this. The series told a complete story, it's not like this s*it is essential viewing.

What's the point? The series told it's story.

Because the general public views animation as a childes medium sadly. This story appeals to more then that. I have introduced it to many people who flat out said they would never have watched it if I hadn't told them to because it was animated.

A live action movie will reach more people. You could argue the point of why is there animated series and movies for TMNT when they tell the story.

I'm... not looking forward to this. To put it mildly. The fact that they cast Jesse McCartney as the role for Zuko originally? Yeah.

More than likely going to boycott it and happily curl up with the cartoon. Partly since I'm an animation admirer, and partly because I can't really see it working for me as a viewer in any other way. I'm sure there'll be pleanty of people out there more than happy to buy a ticket and see the whole thing unfold.

Me?

I'm just going to wait for the other Avatar movie. Ya know, the one with the flying space ships and weird blue people.

Oh, wait...No, I meant ****. It looks like ****.

That's what I meant. ****.

Yeah...pretty much this.
I was really excited to hear that M. Night was going to handle the movie, mostly because his non-original stuff tends to be less hit or miss, then I saw the casting.

Ye gawds.

I mean, don't get me wrong the teaser does look neat, especially the Fire Nation navy off in the distance, but the only way I'm seeing this in the theater is if someone else buys my ticket.

I'll probably end up NetFlixing the thing and making a drinking game out of it much the same way I did TMNT 2007, Twilight, and In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.

So...TMNT 2007 is the same caliber of film as Twilight and a Uwe Boll movie? Are you mental?
