The one with M'Benga and Chapel flashing back to the Klingon War was OK. It felt like it was written by adults, if not sci-fi writers (though what's with NuTrek's obsession with making everyone a murderer?). The rest, appallingly bad.

I f**king knew it. They couldn't help themselves. Now Scotty, too.
https://www.darkhorizons.com/star-tr...asts-key-role/ Did they even do anything at all with Sybok this season? Or was that tease of him last season not a tease and just... the whole thing?

With the Writers and actors strike, will this show even be coming back?
Personally, I hope they do drop the Sybok stuff, I didn't think it was interesting in 1989.

Why wouldn't it come back? I expect it to have a 5 season run at the minimum, even if the strike pushes back the third season a bit.

It would be an opportunity to make lemonade from lemons, retroactively. Not that I'd have any faith in these writers being able to do that.

Seems 5 seasons is the limit these days, with Discovery and Lower Decks ending at 5 seasons. This will likely end at 5 seasons.
Seems most of modern Trek is coming to an end: - Picard ended last year - Discovery is ending this year - Prodigy is already canceled, the second season hasn't aired on netflix yet - Lower Decks is ending this year - The Section 31 movie should debut this year, and it's just a one-and-done thing All they'll have is Strange New Worlds, and if that Starfleet Academy series ever gets off the ground. It does seem like Paramounts financial troubles is why they're whittling down the Trek shows though. |
