Plot Description
This might of been posted already, I honestly don't know, so forgive me if it has. But I recently found this on Tumblr, a plot description for the new movie.
My god that sounds horrible. Not even the fact the Michael Bay dropped out from the director chair and is just producer now will save this movie. |

When was Michael Bay ever more than a producer?

"...inadvertently spawn..."
Sounds like Utroms, to me.

My first reaction to this is that it's probably fake (source?). Though if it were somehow true, it actually doesn't sound that bad, imho. Helps that it's such a basic description that the movie could go pretty much anywhere from here.
Assuming this description were true, it sounds as though the turtles wouldn't be aliens, but their origin would be tied into the aliens coming to Earth (sound familiar to anyone?). Only real difference I'm seeing here is that the aliens in this would be a threat, rather than peaceful. Which would tie into the new show's race of Kraang.

Tumblr is not a source of credible information. Bay was never director. Bad dog. *whacks you with a newspaper*

I bet you people are going to see this and complain even more about it. Just wait; it will happen.

Honestly doesn't sound that bad of an origin twist as long as the "aliens" are Utroms.

Triceratons would be a better fit than Utroms as far as antagonists go. The only think that sort of hints we'd see Utroms are the fact the Turtles origins need to be tied to them.

Unless they completely rewrote the Utroms the turtles would have no reason to rise against them. Anyways I agree this is most likely completely false.

It’s been on the IMDB page for the film for a few months now, and I presume that’s where they got it from. As we all know, anyone can edit IMDB pages.

The new cartoon has a new spin on the Utroms or "The Kraang" that has them as villains creating a mutant army. I wouldn't be too suprised if the movie went with a similar story. If it's something of a secret invasion with the Utroms or Kraangs masquerading as humans waiting for the right time to takeover then that might work but I would have rather avoid overt sci fi storylines in the first movie and save that for the sequel. Even then I'd prefer a sci fi based movie to be faithful to what we've seen before. |

While info like that can be taken like a grain of salt it does sound like the utroms who do accidently unleash a mutagenic substance that spawns the Ninja Turtles. Also,Krang could attempt an invasion and the turtles have to stop it.That would be perfectly fine. That takes care of the alien connection that has been in place since Vol.1#4.Not to mention get a cool and established villian with it if Shredder won't be used. Not some made for movie opponent we got in 3 and TMNT.

I saw this topic's picture on tumblr as well... I just didn't think that the topic's picture had any credibility so I avoided posting it here.
Also, I don't think that made up plot is all that bad. Sounds interesting to say the least. Last edited by Koi; 05-21-2012 at 07:57 PM. |

Be easy be easy...
The Utroms trying to take over in a secret invasion with Krang as their leader would be a great idea, to be honest. Against the original comics, but that could make for a really cool story line if executed properly. |
