I managed to *finally* see Thor 3: Ragnarok and Spiderman: Homecoming a couple of weeks ago.
I felt so-so about T3, liked Keaton as an a-hole in Homecoming, and I've yet to see Infinity War. |

The Kung Fu Panda trilogy with my family. They were all really enjoyable and I'm glad that I now finally have bought all 3 films.

Just saw Infinity War yesterday. Great movie! A couple of minor quibbles, but overall, I really liked it.

Started re-watching the Spiderman movies, pretty much know my order of preference I think but revisiting anyway.
Yesterday was S3, I couldn't take bad Parker that seriously, some of it, but not all of it, he was supposed to be 'cool' but it didn't convince me. That movie was okay though, fairly decent, I felt bad for the sand guy. Amazing Spiderman today, always liked their chemistry (convincing), then I found they were a real couple (back then) Last edited by newfan; 05-12-2018 at 11:04 AM. |

I saw Isle of Dogs and Overboard last weekend. The former was very good and the latter was better than I expected.

Deadpool 2. Loved it. Might even be better than the first. Story was tighter and a bit more serious, "villain" was better, and I loved the new characters. Cable was spot on. Ditto with Juggs.

Rings.
It is hands down the best American The Ring movie, although not a high bar to beat. Blair Witch. I really enjoyed this one, same lost footage format like the original and we're following the brother of Heather from the first film and a crew to document their journey trying to figure out what happened to the sister and the other two. Hannibal Rising. It's okay, but the main factor is that throughout the movie I kept thinking the guy playing Hannibal would look great as the Joker. re-watched Coming To America. It's great, I love this movie. Last time I saw it I was a kid and never noticed Murphy and Hall played several of the side characters, so that was fun watching and going "oh". The Trading Places cameo is fantastic. rewatched Rambo: First Blood Part II. For some reason Netflix Norway is getting some weird releases. Rambo 2, Back to the Future 3 and a bunch of other sequels but not the first one or the whole set. Last Rambo movie on Netflix was Rambo 4, so who knows what we'll get when 2 goes away again But the movie is fun, jacked Stallone and lots of macho pew pew. |

I saw Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again for a second time today. I really do believe that it's better than the first film. The characters all have good backgrounds stories and even though the story for the first film ended on a good note, it was nice to know whatever happened to Sky and Sophie after they left Greece. The musical numbers I felt were also done much better this time around IMO. Lily James really has become a star. She is very believable as Young Donna.

Scales: Mermaids are Real
I dunno, maybe it's made for tween girls the age of the protagonist so the dumb/lame and badly acted parts/aspects of it are less obvious and annoying to them, but this film is begging for a CinemaSins "Everything Wrong With..." review. Film is rather lacking in self awareness. I laughed at too many things that were not comedy. |
