I'm thinking of retiring to Florida and becoming a Florida man. But I will keep my New York expertise instead of becoming a Floridian. So in 6 months I'll be running the place.
The cost of living in Florida outside Miami is also really cheap, so if I save up money here in NY I could get a small condo, pay it off fast, and only pay HOA fees at $200 a month which is nothing. Besides that the rest of Florida is poor as hell so I'd be living like a king. The trick is to save money when you're young and move to a place with a low cost of living. It's better to be the richest among the poor, then just poor among the richest. |

You should've added an option that says "Retiring on my TMNT Inventory".

I'm already retired. I inherited a collection of Beanie Babies and used those investments to buy myself a life of luxury.

I will overthrow my country's government, establish rule as an all powerful dictator and have complete control over the influx of cash and labour.
I will be happily retired in no time.

It's too bad retirement is at 65. They need to move it down to about 40.

I google searched retirement and all the pics are showing a happily married older couple sitting on private yachts or beaches on vacation 24/7:
So this is what you're supposed to be doing when you're 60+ if you're lucky... |

I generally expect to "just scrape by" until I die and they throw my body in a pauper's grave. I stopped expecting or aspiring to anything more than that a long time ago. More or less at peace with it.

My life goal is to make it to 95 years old at the bare minimum, so I have quite a lot of saving to do.
