X-men is still inherently about racial issues and divide disguised as the mutant gene, it's hard to ignore in a series like this.

Originally in the 60's it was about the minorities like blacks and hispanics, then it started including the gays and transgenders in recent times.

lmao it's not even worth pointing out at this point, most of the cartoons in the 90s had "woke ****" in it if we go by todays standards that anything with a minority or a progressive thought is woke ****. Even picking up trash is now "woke ****"

I mean, in a certain way yeah. I mean the way some shows just had to have a random black kid shoved in there cause 'well they all can't be white' was so rampant, South Park purposely had a character naked Token Black to poke fun of it. Captain Planet was as woke as the 90's could get as well.

But it just feels worse and more pronounced now, with 'behind-the-scenes' **** now too, like stuff with the voice actors or horrible writers only hired because they're trans or whatnot. Like the 90's X-Men toon were lucky they had Jubilee and Storm back then, or else we would have seen 'made-up black character cause they all can't be white' being shoved in there in this follow-up, similar to Spike from X-Men Evolution.

2022: "See race all the time. It's the most important thing ever. Everyone should be treated radically different depending on their skin color. Possibly you're part of the problem we've decided exists just depending on your own skin color."

Really going great in all things because of this, especially the arts. Never been less divided than now.

I'd really like to clear something up about the concept of 'wokeness'.

Something delving into the subject of prejudice, bigotry, racism, and division? Doesn't instantly mean woke.

Something having a diverse cast of characters, whether by race, religion, sexual orientation, etc? Doesn't instantly mean woke either.

Wokeness happens when writers ham-fistedly cram overt politics into their works at the cost of quality writing of their plotlines (ex: keeping consistency, proper characterizations, story that makes sense, etc) and of their characters (ex: characters being cardboard cut-outs meant to only exist to spew politically charged dialogue, to the point that this is most/the sole reason these characters exist...don't have interesting personalities or good chemistry with other characters, etc).

I don't think X-Men '92 had it because it had good storylines with characters who had actual backstories, personalities, and relationships that had nothing to do with promoting any ideology. Wolverine's character, if you boil it down, did not revolve solely on his being oppressed. His experiences with prejudice happen, but his entire character was never reduced to 'victim of a white, patriarchal society' (or what-have-you). I probably should've used Jean or whatever for the example I just made. Oh well, you, hopefully, get my point.

I really hope Kitty Pryde shows up, she was completely absent in the original series. At least Nightcrawler appeared in about 3 episodes, same with Collossus. Iceman was only in 1 episode if I remember right.

They really should give more screentime to the other mutants that for some reason barely appeared back then.

Eh, not in a rush to see gay Iceman. You know they won't be able to help themselves, even though he was still straight in the 90's.

I also wonder if the show will keep them in the 90's and not do that weird thing where they're in modern day with zero explanation of the 20 or so year time skip from the last episode leading into this one. That's another reason I absolutely do not want them to have woke modern day politics. It's based on the 90's, keep a 90's mindset. Keep that modern day **** outta there or why even bother making a 90's show and just do a modern day reboot.

Comic book characters change their appearances all the time.

There could be a number of reasons he now has that face, and all of them might be due to mental health issues. He was only normal for the duration of the pilot, then he was critically wounded by a Sentinel and subjected to experiments by Mr. Sinister which drove him mad.

His role in the pilot was going to be the original Thunderbird, but the studio made them use someone else. So they used Changeling.

I think the name change to Morph, was due to a DC character already using the name Changeling.

I would think the Exile comics were not around in 92 when the show was being made?

Morph was a character you barely see during the entire show, He only appeared in like a couple of episodes later on.

There was this whole thing about him missing, Until he later shows up many episodes later.
