Even, if this "more" was nowhere near spectacular as some people say. At least from description of this movie, I don't see why its considered amazing. Maybe after watching it, I'll figure it out.

Maybe I am being harsh on it and would enjoy it - I am sure I have liked far worse. But I can't help but think that (even as someone who leans moderately left) a large part of why it has been so successful commercially and critically is that it's been co-opted by the 'blue-haired feminist' types you guys so abhor.

The truth is probably somewhere in between - it's a good movie but they've overegged the pudding and given it some extra brownie points due to its feminist stance. I will watch it at some point. I like to think I am a fair person so if it's better than I expect I will happily admit it.
