Matt Groening's ''Disenchantment'' Coming To Netflix

Of the new 10-episode series, Matt Groening said: "Ultimately, Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you." (Deep.)

The animation for Disenchantment will be done by the same animators as on Futurama, and will feature some pretty familiar voices, including John DiMaggio, Billy West and Tress MacNeille.

Abbi Jacobson will voice Princess Bean, Nat Faxon will bring Elfo to life, and Eric Andre will take on the role of Luci – plus there's David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, the brand new Bake Off host Noel Fielding and Lucy Montgomery.

Let's see if Matt Groening still got it, Simpsons were great, Futurama was great, this has potential if it can be original like his previous two shows when they debuted.

I'm quite excited for this, I hope it's great since it's a different enough setting. The art style is similar because it's Groening but you can't say Futurama and The Simpsons were ever alike even if they were both comedy shows so I expect this to be different. To me Family Guy/American Dad and Cleveland were all too similar.

I'm guessing we'll get 13 episodes in Aug and 13 more in January? That's how Netflix seems to like to split their seasons nowadays to make the wait seems shorter.

I don't think it looks too good but I love the Simpsons and Futurama so I'm hyped. The interviews also confirmed that because it's on Netflix there is no censoring, so let's see how it goes, they mentioned not going to extremes. I personally think the way Simpsons/Futurama did violence was already good, I hope it's not worse than that. If it's nudity it'll be people who you wouldn't want to see naked, though I do think Princess Bean should appear nude in that case and have this imperfect body to show even a Princess can't be perfect which is what they're going for. They also mentioned the length of the episodes is going to be different for every single one, pilot is 38 i think and another episode like 276 and it'll be 10 episodes long. They compared it to Rick and Morty and that it'll be single episodes with an overarching plot if you watch them in order but not that important.

The only thing I hate is that the characters have 5 fingers, doesn't fit the Groening style at all.
