Thanks for the kind words on my Goontra piece, folks!

A very talented sprite artist got inspired enough by my piece to do his own Goontra tribute.

I was so amused and honored that I then got inspired to try to take the illusion one step further:

Goontra is a classic run & gun platforming video game released by Konami in 1987. [What, you never played it either?]

Description:
In 1987 a baffling crime wave swept across the island of Manhattan. Scientists world-wide concluded that this could only have been the work of NINJAS, a thousand-year-old clan of assassins!

To counter this evil force, a master sensei trained up four mutant turtles in the arts of ninjitsu. They raided the headquarters of the Foot Clan, freed a yellow-jumpsuit wearing reporter, and unnerved the hideous ninja crime lord known as the Shredder! Some people, including a notable film director, theorized that these "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" might even be part of a Space Alien conspiracy to take over the world!

Unwilling, to let this afront pass, the Shredder sent out two of his least cunning, least resourceful, and practically useless henchmen from his Special Forces elite commando squad [they were just the only two street punks to volunteer] to seek out and destroy those accursed turtles and their master!

The new image is kind of a WIP at the moment, but I can't decided whether I like the TMNT logo or the Contra logo homage. I didn't quite lay the purple boxes out well enough to do full justice to the new logo.

I've been besieged by a very annoying gnat infestation of late (it's been a warmer than usual December where I live, and I do like to eat a lot of fruit), and it just feels like there are bugs wherever I turn.

That made me think of the Revenge of the Fly episode, where there mutant insects were popping up all over the place. So I sketched up this tribute:

As Inspector Gadget would say,"Wowsers!". Only thing I would say add is Z somehere if possible. Got the time and desire to do a tribute from Night of The Rogues and maybe replace Tempestra with General Tragg?

Nah, I don't quite have the inspiration for that one yet. And if I did one, I would totally keep Tempestra in it. I loved Tempestra's Revenge!

Aw,come on,its my favortie episode! All the villains teaming up under Shredder to kill the TMNT! Hope the inspiration is mustered soon, its a Leatherhead guarantee of a gem!

No hate on Tempestra,I even gave her a fanfiction origin,its just General Tragg is a better fit for such a group IMHO!

Question for Mods:
Is there anyway I can change the designation of this thread from "Fan Comic" to just "Fan Art" ? This thread's purpose has changed a bit over the years since I started it.


This is a piece I did a long time ago but I don't remember if I ever posted it:


These are supposed to be robotic counterparts to Splinter and Casey Jones from an alternate universe where... uh... most everybody in the Fred Wolf Universe happened to exist as a robot. I've done a few more and maybe one day I'll think up a short story possibility for something like this.

Adam,in my experiences just PM Shredder and he will change the title for you.

Your picture reminds me of Tournament Fighter for SNES which had an evil robotic counterpart made by Krang of each playable character.

Thanks, man! I think you probably mean the Genesis version, however. That was the one with all the pale-palette "Clones." I figured they were more organic reproductions than robotic, however.

I've also done robotic version of Shredder, a Foot Soldier (which looks terrible), April, and Irma.

Yeah,they all kinda run together. I have both the SNES and the Sega versions. I always thought they were cyborg replicas personally. Perhaps,this could be profile sketches that lead to another attempt at a fan-made TMNT Tournament Fighters. I wish Konami video games made General Tragg an opponent in the Sega version.

Eh... I don't know. I use photobucket or deviantart for my upload links. I think [IMG]insert link here[/IMG] usually works. Not every uploading site may be compatible for these Forums, I guess. You can PM me your image links and I'll see if looks amiss.
