Technodrome Discord Channel

So, we have an official unofficial Drome Discord now for anyone who wants to join, we already have some old familiar faces dropping in so it could be a nice place to chat it up

Discord has a nice app interface or you can also just enter through the website, it's basically like a modern chat room but with the features you'd expect in 2018. It's one of the reasons many communities are there now so this can serve as a mini-drome in for when we are outside on the go and posting on the forums isn't as easy.

Not at all. So far everyone who's joined is like 30 or older. Most users of this forum are in that range.

It's been one year since the Drome Discord so I thought I'd bump this. We got a lot of users, not all of them have stuck around but we built a small community of dromers were we can chit chat about turtles and other stuff in there. In times of crisis like when the technodrome went offline it was a good refuge to get news on the site and overall it's been a nice place.

They turned invites off because EtsyTurtle managed to get in, so maybe that had something to do with it.

IIRC they banned you from the discord if you didn't reveal what your technodrome username was. Which is kinda silly, but whatever. I think I randomly joined the first week out of curiosity, found out I was banned a week later even though I never made a single post.

Share your discord ID (ID with the hashtag and numbers, so name#0000) and someone will invite you. Yes, the two most important rules are 1) you have to be a member of this forum and 2) you have to use your Drome username as your nickname... or at least the mods need to know what your drome username is at a minimum.

To my knowledge nobody on the Discord was banned because they aren't "popular" on the forum. Exception might be obvious trolls.

I'm not a mod on there so I'm not speaking for them. I'm just sharing what I have witnessed and what my experience there is.

PM sdp is probably the easiest way to get invited. Like it says in his signature.

Pretty sure that was done to make sure the people who were constantly causing issues and getting banned couldn't take part in the chat.
