Today's thing that's made me happy - realizing again how lucky I am to have stumbled upon a partner who loves me despite my flaws, who is unfailingly kind and supportive, who accepts my gender identity and orientation, and who never says douchey things to me.

I'm so stoked that my husband was able to fix my desktop computer that we thought got fried by a power surge/outage... Yay!

Nice thread and good call too.

What got me happy was I posted a thread and actually got a few responses. It wasn't a public opinion vs. Michael Bay TMNT, toy info, or any of that. (Though I have responded to a few other threads like that.) It was just about a ceramic that I made. First actual attempt at a thread because I usually hang out on art sites so a forum is sorta new to me.

I'm going to see Guardians of the Galaxy with my mom today, so that makes me really happy.

Watching a live Youtube podcast covering the Cardiff and London World Tour premieres of Doctor Who's latest episode. At one point, someone started trolling them with Whitney Houston songs.

One of the pansies in my garden has grown a flower - since my gardening style can best described as "stick it in the dirt and hope it doesn't die on me", I consider this to be a major victory!

And it's so puuurdy!

Finally finding the Slash & Newtralizer figures that have alluded me for weeks. It was the 3rd Walmart I had checked. Feeling pretty satisfied.

I saw three cats and a raccoon on the way to work today. Considering that I normally don't see anything other than common birds, this was a pleasant anomaly.

Crikey. I still haven't seen anything from that wave in stores yet. They just keep restocking the movie figures. I had'da get Newtralizer shipped from China for $8. Good score!

That I didn't run over a skunk that was zig-zagging on the road, trying to get hit, on my way to work, this morning.

Real Madrid being 2-0 up after half an hour away to Real Sociedad but losing the game 4-2.

For those unacquainted with football/soccer: Real Madrid are the world's biggest club by most estimations (they spend an absolute fortune on marquee players), and Sociedad are a good team but really just a medium-sized club, certainly not on the level of RM. So this is funny, especially as I generally consider Real Madrid an overrated team.

Edit: just seen Jester's photo of his son. The shirt is bigger than he is lol. Very cute kid mate.

Job has changed the work week from 5 day 8 hour work weeks to 5 day 9 hours for one week, 4 day 9 hours for the second week and we now get every other Friday off. Plus with Labor Day this Monday, I got a 4 day holiday! Yay!

With it being the weekend, I am looking forward to the football (soccer). There are a few enticing games happening over today and tomorrow.
