I have encountered very few franchises of those listed. Never had played Resident Evil or DMC, so I vote for Street Fighter.
I like MegaMen series(es), but it's the same thing from one game to the other.

2D fighting games are not outdated. Just like 2D platformers are not outdated.
It's a separate sub genre / style of the games and there is nothing wrong with the game having only 2D gameplay. Don't so narrow minded.
