He-Man(2002)

So who else is a fan of this remake?

I really wish we got more seasons.

Also it could use a blu ray release.

Both seasons were on sale for about $6 last week on Amazon PrimeVideo. The shows strike a good balance between iconic and modernized character designs. All the tie-in action figures look really good too.

Yes I love this show, animation is great. I have the complete series box set but one of the discs has scratches on it which effects play unfortunately so I'll have to go on eBay to look for another copy. Liked this version far more than the 80's one.

Always meant to find a way to try this series out. I've only seen maybe two episodes, but it looked great.

I've never watched this but after watching all of Kevin Smith's series which is over now I've decided to give this a try. The 2002 series is only 39 episodes so it's short enough you can probably breeze through it in a week or two.

I'll watch it online for free on the illegal cartoon streaming websites. No need to buy a DVD or buy it digitally anywhere.

This was such a good show. I wish it would've gotten another season or two, so that the series had enough episodes to watch over and over again. It absolutely had the quality of my favorite action cartoon: Beast Wars/Machines, Batman: TAS, Justice League/JLU, and the 4Kids TMNT cartoon. Unfortunately, it just didn't have the longevity.

I guess it didn't sell as many action figures as Mattel intended.

Yeah the toys sales didn't do as good as they hope though at least it did good enough to get a second season.

Too bad, we would have gotten to see She-Ra if lasted a 3rd season.

Mattel made way too many He-Man and Skeletor figures for that line

What year was the average Masters of the Universe fan born during the original Hemania?

OK. If the average Masters of the Universe fan was born in the late 1970's and early 1980's, it meant that when the second He-Man cartoon originally aired between August 2002 and January 2004, he or she usually either didn't have any children yet, or the children were too young to fully enjoy the cartoon.

No surprise the action figures failed and remember, Masters of the Universe is a far more action figure-based franchise than TMNT.

Who owns the physical rights to this series?

Has anyone seen it streaming? If so is it in HD?

In June 2009, Mill Creek Entertainment acquired the rights to the series and subsequently released He-Man and the Masters of the Universe - The Complete Series, a 4-disc box set featuring all 39 episodes of the series on DVD in Region 1 on September 29, 2009.[8] They also released a 10-episode single disc best of DVD on the same day.

You can stream it on Amazon Prime, episodes are in SD. I'm not a fan on streaming tbh I always like having a physical copy just in case the shows get taken down from the streaming service.

I heard there is an HD version on some streaming service, so there is a chance for a blu ray release.
