Jennifer Lee, the film's co-director, says that four new songs have been written for the sequel. Plus, Anna and Elsa will be traveling far out of Arendelle.

They almost have to do it now, since so much has been said about it. It's like if they DON'T do it, the ones who've been insisting upon it for the last 4 years or so will feel "betrayed", even though Disney never officially gave anyone reason to think it was a done deal.
I think it's 60/40 that they make her a lesbian. They'll take some heat for it, but we're at the point now where the back-patting and mainstream press they'll get will be huge, and far outweigh any negative "MY daughter won't be watching it" stuff. It's by far the safest property they have with which to try something like this. It's Frozen; everyone's going to see it and it's guaranteed to make billions of dollars, even if a few overly-conservative soccer moms gnash their teeth and refuse to let their kids see it (until they sneak over a friend's house to see it anyway). They can absolutely afford to take a small hit with a franchise this big. It's probably more like 70/30, or even 80/20; I just don't like to be wrong so I always shoot conservative. But we're only a matter of time before they have an Official Lesbian Disney Princess; logistically, this is the movie where it makes the most sense, from a Risk/Reward standpoint. I'll honestly be a little surprised if it doesn't happen.

Elsa will become a lesbian icon known for decades to come. Same way The Little Mermaid, which came out way back in 1989, is still relevant today. Imagine being in the year 2030 and saying, "Yep it all started with Frozen 2 back in 2019" and all the grandparents telling their little grandchildren, "Why back in my day, we didn't have lesbian Disney princesses in our movies, but this Elsa girl, she was a very special lady. Now this is commonplace, but back then it was something new and exciting." Bring on the lesbianism. Just because some Christian soccer moms won't go to the theater because they'll be upset little Timmy and silly Sally get exposed to something doesn't mean all parents will be like that. It's gotten to the point where people our age are now having kids, we've been exposed to this a lot more than our parents did. It's time for us millenials to chart the future. |

At this point, we're 14 pages in and 10 of them are all about Cubed's boner.
Plastron's not here to say it anymore, so I will: Nobody cares about your boner, Cubed!

I like that he's trying to make up for several weeks of lost time all at once. Gotta admire that hustle.

It's hard to believe it, but the phenomenon was released 5 years ago yesterday in theaters. It only seems like yesterday when I first saw the film and was blown away by it all.

I wonder if a teaser will drop soon. The release is less than a year away.

Reminds me of Gone with the Wind.
The outfits look better now especially good change for Elsa. Tired of her previous ones. And I guess Anna lost that white fringe? |

It seems really weird how long it took for Disney to spin up a sequel. It also seems weird how little marketing seems to be accompanying this sequel so far.

Nothing "weird" about it, Disney usually doesn't market their animated films until much closer to release date. Also it is not "weird" for them to take so long for a sequel because it is so rare for them to have a theatrical sequel to their animated movies to begin with. In fact "The Rescuers Down Under" and "Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck it Ralph 2" are the only animated theatrical sequels I can think of.

Yeah, they did so many strait to video sequels, too bad so few of them were even worth watching.

If Disney made a "Kingdom of Lesbiana", my ass would be in that seat opening night. That's just one of those things you *have* to see. Like when that delinquent kid from a few blocks over flushed M-80's and now his mom's kicking his ass on the front lawn.
Hell, I'd settle for waiting outside the theater to see the absolute meltdowns of people walking out. Bring a lawn chair and some 3-D glasses. I'd even buy the $20 popcorn for once.
