Daphne and Velma (2018)

Scooby Doo's Daphne and Velma are getting their own movie, a direct-to-video prequel about how they met

Unless they meet at the Ghoul School I don’t care.

Or at least we need the hex girls

Now that is a good idea for a stand alone.

Imagine a Scooby-Doo film universe with the Hex Girls actually having powers, the cat demons from Zombie Island, and the overarching plot from Mystery Incorporated.

Agree. I wish they would have done another season and fleshed out the universe a little more, but damn did it have a good ending.

I see Ghoul School as okay, nothing too spectacular but its not bad. OT, its funny we see a ton of specials where scooby and shaggy are the only leads but this is the first time we see Daphne and Velma, I wonder if Fred is going to get his own movie.

Perhaps “so bad it’s good” is not the term I wanted to use. I just didn’t want to say “watch only for waifus”

Wait a minute this is live action? I thought this was a cartoon movie, and even then I thought it would be a waste of time.

Who the hell wants to see a live action version of Daphne and Velma meeting?

If it has a lesbian subtext you would watch it.

I thought this was about the HB cinematic universe movie S.C.O.O.B. that keeps getting delayed and yet was first announced circa 2013.

Live action Daphne & Velma? DTV? This has all signs of it being bad but hey I'm up for it to see how it ends up.

The first DTV live action movie alredy depicted how the gang got together, not sure if it also told us how Velma/Daphne did, that movie was successful and followed by a DTV sequel the year after but that one didn't do as well I'm guessing since no more were made.

edit: I don't like Mystery Inc.

The original SD live action movie had a ton of adult jokes/references which were all cut and have never been seen and apparently will never be seen, i think one of them was a kiss between Daphne/Velma.

The love the first SD live action movie, I think it mixed everything pretty well and is extremely underrated, SD2 is boring, Mystery Begins is ok, Lake Monster is boring.

Not caring a whole lot about this one
I have all the movies because of my children (Zombie Island probably the most watched) but I did already own the first live action movie before that and went to see it in the theater, that one was popular when it came out, even with adults, the newer live actions are TV movies (are they?), I didn't know about them until recent years.

Well apparently this comes out in two months and here is the trailer:

http://ew.com/movies/2018/03/26/daph...oby-doo-movie/ (no youtube version yet)

Very futuristic, characters don't act like they should, nor are the new personalities/relationships good since they're as generic tween comedy as they can get, the plot seems boring, you can already tell it's missing the rest of the gang for them to play off of.....It's clear this is being aimed at young girls, Daphne+Velma has potential but this seems like a hot mess...I can't wait to watch it.

I hope they also get their own tv series where they will be solving mysteries without the boys and that ugly coward dogs. Maybe set in another universe where Shaggy Fred and Scooby doo dont exist. Velma is my favorite heroine! Cant wait for the movie!
