Also why it when they always visit the black neighborhoods everyone is always so poor and living on the streets? I mean I know there's places in real life like this everywhere, but we don't need to have it drilled into our heads all the time.

I mean.... It's cause there ARE places like that everywhere.

I'm not sure if rich black neighborhoods exist, just overall rich neighborhoods that happen to have some black families live there but aren't exclusively rich black folks.

I'm liking it so far. I've always been a big fan of Mackey's Sam Wilson. He plays a great and likable character. And apart from a scene or two in Civil War, this is the first time I thought Bucky was likeable to be honest.

Who else likes John Walker/US Agent so far? Him and Lemar Hoskins/Battlestar seem like good dudes.

Are we supposed to despite John for picking up the shield? Or for calling Sam and Bucky “Wingmen”? Honestly, it didn’t seem that offensive to me, at least when you throw in that he clearly didn’t have a negative intention by saying it.
The reaction from Sam, Bucky, and even the audience has me thinking they all sort of being babies.
Yeah, he’s not the original Cap, I get that, but is he disrespecting the legacy? I don’t think so. Not two episodes in.

John himself is a hero in the comics (U.S Agent) who started off with a pretty poor rep as a temporary Cap who lacked some of Steve's qualifies and was a bit overly rough, so it's not too surprising he's not as black and white as one would expect the 'replacement' to be. He's only a douche to Sam and Bucky because they're consistently snarky to him and refusing to trust him. It's more their fault than his.

Anyone have theories on where Steve is? They're being very coy about the subject, so far. The "moon" comment from episode 1 has to make you wonder if Steve actually is up on the moon with Fury, which I believe we saw in Far From Home. I have a few questions about the family Steve "found" in Endgame - they're gone now, right? Did he have children? So many questions, now that I think about it.

I think if Steve were dead, they'd have opened hard with his funeral or memorial in the first couple episodes. It feels like groundwork that would have to be laid, to me.

You have to take into account that John Walker was selected by the Government, So he's following there orders and doing what they asked him to do, While Sam and Bucky are free to do whatever they want because they don't work for the Government like John Walker does.

Yeah, about Walker- l do not like. Something about him seems a little suspect, call me crazy, but I'm almost getting the Hydra Cap vibes off of him. Would not be surprised if that is the direction they go with him. I dunno, he's just- not right as Cap. Like he's missing some element of character and moral code that Steve always and abundantly had. Add to that his smugness about having been chosen, and his attempt to usurp Sam's authority on what was clearly HIS mission from the start, and.... Yeah. Something fishy with him.

I watched Youtube videos about US Agent, He never joined Hydra, But he was involved in some shady stuff in the comics, Like getting the Super Soldier thing as well, Even his partner Battlestar got the Super Soldier thing too.

What did Agent Walker do that was smug?

Honestly, to me it feels like everyone just thinks they are supposed to dislike him and are sort of pre-judging him based on the premise of the show.

He just acts very superior around Bucky and Sam, and has a habit of throwing his credentials and standing around as if that is what makes him worthy of the shield. He's not, and they all know it, but no one really seems to say it. And after this week's episode, I am certain of that. He is arrogant, impatient, impulsive, and shows poor judgement on several occasions, and basically is everything Cap should NOT be. Too ready to use violence- excessive violence at that- and too loose ethnically and morally. I REALLY dislike him even more now after what just happened! He's NOT one of the "good guys" here!

The US Agent of the comics might not have joined Hydra, but I am thinking this is their way of using the Hydra Cap storyline without sullying the legacy of the REAL Cap. And perhaps also as a way of having either Bucky or Sam eventually take over the mantle from someone who is clearly unworthy of it.

So does the US Agent have the Super Soldier serum? It sounds kinda odd to have a known superhero be replaced by... a guy. Like I know they're making a deal about 'who is worthy to wield the shield' but like... it's not like the shield gave Cap his superhuman strength.

It would be like the government assigning any of us the new official Spider-Man's mantle after both Pete and Miles bite it.... but you know.... as is, without any Spidery Powers, just the suit.

Another thing, When Sam becomes the new Captain America, Joaquín Torres took on on the mantle as the Falcon in the comics, So maybe we'll see that happen in this series.

I could see Sam giving his Wings to Torres to be the new Falcon, and Sam becoming the new Captain America without using the Wings.

Yeah, I know both of those things. I forgot if Bucky also has the serum or just the metal arm, but (at least movie-wise) he can go toe to toe with Cap and Black Panther, I really don't see Sam doing that, cause yeah, he is just a guy with wings he didn't even design himself.
