Well he’s being serious.. it’s the truth. The modern show must meet modern gender and race standards.. not saying there’s anything wrong with that, the worlds come a long way. But the show is changing races for the sake of it, so it’s up for discussion.

can't tell how many people whose posts I used to respect for logic and reasoning had a switch flipped into crazy town over the last year or two. the only website I got banned on seemed to have one flipped at least once a month.

Diversity is awesome, it's not SJW BS just because they have a diverse cast. This is also something that started in the 90s but was kinda forgotten later on, The BK kids club, Captain Planet, Magic School Bus, Extreme Ghostbusters. I always loved having so many different types of characters to choose from.

Sadly, shoehorning/changing characters the way they are now is not working for anyone but those who think they're doing the right thing.

extreme ghostbusters had a freakin guy in a wheel chair.

The people who could walk had a hard enough time not getting injured or killed. in reality the Wheelchair guy would get killed first mission. that these days would be called SJW material.

But, unlike today, once you got past the obvious diversifying of the characters, you still LIKED the characters, because they where written well and had fun lines. I actually miss eduardo garret kylie and roland. they fit in the universe well.

if it was done these days, I guarantee it would not work so well..

I kinda agree...
As a Black girl myself I love the idea of seeing a fellow Black female character on screen with the turtles (on the good side as a main character). Ideally....It would have been nice if she was her own character....but it's hard for me to complain because I feel I need to take what I can get sometimes XD...

No lie. I'm hoping that the show-runners realized that there is a serious lack of female characters on the (current) roster. (Personal Note: Said issue was one of the main reasons why I couldn't get into 2k12!TMNT all that often.)

Maybe, they'll try avoiding that issue in the future.

That was another issue I had with the show too....
And when a female character did show up she was almost guaranteed to become a love interest of some kind...
April/Mona/Karai/Renet....

I don't mind love interests...I love romance! but it gets a little shady when it happens to 90% of the girls on the show when there aren't that many to begin with...
