It was a short lived attempt. I think Kelly and I think Donna returned as teachers and we got a new cast to be students. I forgot if anyone else made occasional cameos or whatever.

Weird.... annnd.....
I remember this and Melrose Place as a kid. I feel like they were airing on Wednesday nights, I don't remember. I just remember that it was a period of Soap Opera's one after the other without blatantly being branded as such.

I didn't really care for the CW revival that aired from 2008-2013. As a huge fan of the original show, I'll definitely be checking it out. But no Shannon or Luke is gonna mean that this show will basically be the bore that the original show was around season 7.

No Sharon Doherty expected for now, but Luke Perry will make a few guest appearances as his commitments can allow

Details on the premise...a psudeo-reality take with the actual revival being a show-within-a-show

I think Shannon Doherty's got more important things to worry about, all things considered.

And that premise is... bizarre.

Most of my memories of the original 90210 come from having to fight my mom and sister for the good TV every week. So, not a fan, but you could say I'm a "fan" of Shannon and Jennie Garth, to a limited degree.

I genuinely never thought that it was popular enough to be seeing yet another revival, though. I mean, I wasn't the audience, but it seemed like it was a thing that came and went and then everybody moved on. The first revival fizzled due to lack of interest, so I wonder why they expect it to go better this time? It hasn't even been that long, has it? I'unno.

This summer. Six episode mini-series

Quote:
“Beverly Hills, 90210 left an indelible impact on pop culture and an entire generation. Its powerful legacy is an important part of our network’s DNA – bold stories not told anywhere else and bigger-than-life-characters – and we’re honored to bring back the beloved original cast members for 90210.”

– Michael Thorn, President, FOX Entertainment

During her exit interview from FOX‘s The Masked Singer, Spelling shared her perspective on what should expect:

“It’s not technically a reboot, because I feel like everyone has seen the reboot. We don’t want to be the last ones like doing the reboot thing, and no one wants to see like old versions of ourselves, but they do want to see us playing our characters, so what we’re doing is the entire cast is playing heightened versions of themselves. Think ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ episodes, in an hourlong show, and we’re all playing heightened versions, so it could be fictional, it could be non-fictional, people will have to guess. And then we will have pop-ins, because we’re behind the scenes trying to do the reboot.”

RIP Luke Perry

Bit late on sharing the promo vid, it came out on the 13th

Looks like the series is going through turmoil: The original showrunner and a few writers have already been replaced. The new showrunner is Paul Sciarrotta, who worked on the last 90210 revival.

As someone who absolutely LOVED Beverly Hills 90210, this show was a nice little treat. But I can take it or leave it. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it not getting picked up for more episodes.
