Is that a rhetorical question?

That sounds like the best prediction yet... It's gonna feel like Suicide Squad, an absolute mishmash of different directions and tone.

I suspect once Justice League finishes its theatrical run, we'll start to see some much clearer direction from WB on their DC slate. Maybe.

That makes sense and you're right it probably won't happen. WB will compensate Whedon to avoid that. I thought the DGA had to rule on all movies that had more than one director attached.

Eisenberg's Lex and Jared Leto's Joker are going to paired up for a spin-off movie.
it'll feature them both going on a road trip together.

the movie will end with them both driving off a cliff 'Thelma & Louise' style.

it'll be a short film.

Nor, apparently, are the scenes featuring Iris West.

This is literally the most exciting news I have seen about the Justice League movie so far. Seriously.

Won't Danny Elfman use his Batman theme too? Imagine the one two punch of them one after the other.

I don't want old musical themes--no matter how well-loved--brought back.

This isn't Star Wars; new takes need new musical takes.

I could say that now, and that's deserved... but I just know that -- if the moments are done correctly on-screen -- when I hear those themes again I'm going to be riveted.

That's fair. I mean, it's not that the music isn't awesome. It just feels lazy.

As much as I loved Zimmer's stuff for the Dark Knight trilogy, I was very happy to hear it when he said he had no intention of scoring any new stuff for Batman. That was the right call IMO.

id welcome the old themes back. I just think Zimmer's Superhero themes are generic as hell.

I think everybody's superhero themes have been generic as hell. Since Raimi's Spider-Man, then Elfman's Batman score and Williams' Superman score.

If they can find a way to bring those back and make it work, I'm 100% for it.

Elfman's Spidey theme is great, and if he were to use his old Batman theme for JL... that would honestly get my butt in the theater.
However, Zimmer's Man of Steel score sold ridiculously well, especially for a score album... no one buys score albums. So WB is probably going to ask Elfman to incorporate one of the better-received aspects of MoS/BvS - the "Man of Steel" theme - into the Justice League movie.

I love all of the MoS score but there's hardly anything in it you can point to and go, "Oh! That's Superman's theme." It's some great music, though. I love how alien the Krypton stuff sounds.

Some kind of marriage between that stuff and the Williams music? Whoa.
