Looks like The Doctor and Clara will be joined by a new friend!

Samuel Anderson is to play Danny Pink, a fellow teacher at Coal Hill School (Where Clara teaches and which former companion Ian Chesterton is governor of).

We finally have some new location shoots for Episode Five (Steve Thompsons' story)

http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/series-...uits-61701.htm

Yep, filming right on top of the ol' Torchwood grounds

And Keely Hawes (Ashes to Ashes, Line of Duty, Tomb Raider games) to appear as Ms. Delphox

Sad news for Classic Who fans. Director Derek Martinus has passed away.

Derek's credits included helming "The Tenth Planet", which of course was where we bore witness to the very first regeneration sequence, as well as the debut story of Doctor Number Three and the Autons "Spearhead From Space", and the first story to feature the Ice Warriors.

The only reason that I know Doctor Who is because of a book about robots that I bought from a museum at a class trip in St. Paul Minneapolis. It had a sci-fi cyborg example that was a Cyberman from Doctor Who. As soon as I was able to watch the show, ironically the first episode I saw introduced some Cybermen in an alternate dimension where Rose Tyler's father is still alive, and her parents instead have a dog named "Rose" instead of a daughter.

Awesome!! Classic Who is gonna be airing on the channel RTV (retroTV) this summer!!

Quote:
Luken Communications is proud to welcome classic episodes of the science-fiction series Doctor Who, a BBC production distributed by BBC Worldwide North America, to its lineup.

The deal was brokered by Chelsea Hassler, Manager, Scripted Sales, BBC Worldwide North America and Matthew Golden, Vice President of Production for Luken Communications.

The series follows the adventures of the Doctor, a time lord who faces a variety of foes while travelling through time and space in the TARDIS, his iconic blue police box. Retro TV will be showcasing the series’ classic run, featuring the first seven incarnations of the Doctor: William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, and Sylvester McCoy.

Yeah. That's a world tour alright. "World Tour" apparantly means skipping Canada and the West Coast of the U.S to go party down in Rio.

But hey at least we know the new season starts in August....

Due to the world tour, there will be no comicon panel for Doctor Who this year.

Excited about that new trailer--I've gotta watch the specials after the last Matt Smith season, so I can be caught up first, but still...yay! Btw, if anyone was looking for Classic Who, I noticed Netflix added it pretty recently.

Five of the eighth series scripts have leaked. I've peeked at a few.

The episodes are

1. Deep Breath (79 minute opener)
2. Into the Dalek
3. Robots of Sherwood
4. Listen
5. Time Heist

"Listen" is probably going to be the best thing put on television this year. I just feel it.
