What's the difference?

Man, are YOU ever barking up the wrong tree! Inhumans are NOT mutants, nor are very many of them "teenagers"- in fact, all of the key characters are very much adults and in control of their powers. Except Blackbolt, whose power is his voice. Even a whisper can cause serious damage!

Well, as Leo said, it's Cubed, so....

That was my only real experience with them, too- and a few specific issues of Spider-Man, as well. Medusa's introduction was in an early Spidey issue, and she just seemed very arrogant to me. Actually, they all do.

For starters, Mutants in the Marvel universe are basically humans who are born with the X-Gene in them, whose powers manifest as teenagers.

Inhumans, on the other hand, are a genetically altered race created by the Kree millions of years ago when they visted Earth during the prehistoric age and experimented on cavemen via the Terrigen Mist. Chronologically speaking, they existed before Mutants even appeared .

And the core Inhumans are not "Teens with superpowers who don't know how to control them" as CyberCubed wrongly put them:

First, you have Black Bolt (King of the Inhuman race), Medusa (Black Bolt's wife), Crystal (Medusa's sister and former girlfriend of the Human Torch and wife of Quicksilver), Lock Jaw, Triton, Karnak, Gorgon, and so on.

^ All of THIS. At least up until the recent ret-con involving unleashing the Mist on Earth and suddenly transforming a bunch of random people with "Inhuman blood" (and given their history with humans, their insistence of being superior to them, AND their strict laws against interbreeding with them, that's basically a BS ret-con) including the "new" Ms. Marvel. Which is just one of a laundry list of reasons I despise that character.

Actually Medusa was introduced Fantastic Four#36, which also introduced the Frightful Four. But yeah, I think know the issue you're talking about, that was an odd one. If I recall correctly some business guy wanted Medusa to represent his hair spray company and she got into a misunderstanding with Spider-Man, right? I think that was my first introduction to the character.

EDIT: Now I remember, it was Amazing Spider-Man#62

I believed them. I remember reading that, and it makes sense given the friction between Perlmutter and Feige.

I'm kind of glad this happened.

The idea of an Inhumans movie without the FF always seemed half-baked anyway.

I shed no tear over this news, except for the possibility that it may have put off any AoS/MCU meetup that could have happened.

Yup, that was the ASM issue, alright. I believe that issue is listed as her first appearance in my Marvel Encyclopedia, which is weird, if she appeared in FF first. If memory serves, I think it was actually Blackbolt and perhaps some of the other Inhumans who first appeared in the FF issue- my Marvel Universe Handbook also lists their first appearance as FF #45-#47, not #36.

i mean whatever...

but I'm more into the belief that the TV universe will never "fully" integrate into the movie universe... its starting to look like a lonnnggggg shot for it to ever happen...

heres hoping infinity war doesn't get watered down...

getting that itch of boredom with comic movies... whats next after infinity war?

will the comic bubble burst?

reboot the turtles!

I firmly believe that Marvel has reacquired the Fantastic Four rights, in at least some manner, and that the MCU's next big bad is Galactus.

Why go with the Inhumans when you can go with Doctor Doom, Skrulls, Kree, Galactus, Silver Surfer, Kang, and more?

Why do you think they recast Spider-Man? cause they wanted to go with a younger Spider-Man.

I honestly never saw this movie making it, especially since it's pushed back so far off. SHIELD already did the Inhumans storyline, if they were to make one, it would make more sense to release it late last year as that story wrapped up.

Plus, with all the build up SHIELD did to the Inhumans, I'm sorry, but other than Black Bolt and Medusa, I want to see Skye/Daisy there up front and center or else the tv series just wasted a season and made Skye into an Inhuman for nothing.

I almost feel as if SHIELD is watching WWE RAW and Smackdown and the Marvel Movies are the big Pay Per Views. If Skye isn't in the Inhumans storyline, then we're wasting out time with her character.

True, if they team up with Marvel Studios on a crossover, Marvel would want more creative freedom on it then Fox.

That's what happened with the Sony/Marvel Studios deal, Marvel would allow Spider-Man in the MCU, as long as they have creative control over it.

and that won't happen with Fox.
