"For people who have read my [Batman run], the basic premise here is we have three timelines that take off from Batman Annual #2 (the first and last kiss issue)," King explains. "We see Batman and Catwoman at the beginning of their relationship after that first kiss, we see them now, and we see the end, after that last kiss. That allows for us to see her evolution - how Catwoman went from being a rogue to a partner, and what that transition cost her.

That makes absolutely no sense at all even in this storyline. Why is it in any non-canon Barbara Gordon gets intimate with the Bats? The key word is non-canon thankfully,but to the casual audience my favorite female hero is looking slutty and that is far from the strong woman she is. Bonding over Joker trauma? The only thing screwed is the idea that Barbara Gordon would be vulnerable to it.


Let her marry Dick Grayson and be done with this mistreatment!

I'm with Andrew, finally; Johns needs a cold shower and a permanent vacation. JSA, Teen Titans, GL: Rebirth and Flash are looking more and more like flukes compared to most of the last 15 years. The guy's lost it so bad that we've come full-circle to the point where we're forced to ask if he ever even had "it" to lose in the first place.

I'll be blunt; as long as Lois and Clark are solid, I generally don't care who's f*cking who in comics because it never lasts anyway. But some things are just dumb, and this is one of 'em.

Has Tim Drake ever had a ride on the old Babs-cycle, yet? He should just hang around a while. Damien, too. She'll get to each of them in turn, eventually.

See, it's partly my fault. I asked out loud after the issue 1 stuff, "How can this possibly get much dumber?" I gotta stop doing that, is the thing.

In the comics he's still dating Stephanie, aka Spoiler...though at one point she was Batgirl

I'm used to Tim being quite a few years younger than Babs in most media, so even though I don't even really care about such things - I'd be a huge hypocrite if I did, since I spent my teens banging a chick who was pushing 40 - it definitely jumped out at me as being kind of "Wait... WHAT?" I'm used to her being around 30 and Tim being like 14-15 or whatever. Again, *I* completely don't care about that stuff, but I know most people do. I haven't played the game, but I assume they both made Babs younger and Tim older so they could go ahead and f*ck? Furthermore, I'm not even sure how many times I remember them even interacting as friends or otherwise in comic books, so them becoming intimate is weird, even in an unrelated parallel universe. ((Shrug))

I kinda lost interest in Arkham City after beating the main story, just because of the eight million Riddler Trophies which I don't WANT to bother with but have a compulsion towards. Thus I never got around to Origins or Knight. I still plan to; but if I don't get all the Riddler Trophies in City first it's gonna bother me forever, I just know it.

She never should have stopped being Oracle, for a number of reasons. Also, they shouldn't have been afraid to marry her off to Dick. If they wanted to do more stories with her as Batgirl, make a prequel series showing her heyday.

Barbara's return to the role of Batgirl was the sole positive out of the new 52 for me. However, her being Oracle I happily accept if pre-Flashpoint resumed. Powerful characters such as Cyborg and Martian Manhunter can be quite effective as the point person in the headquarters and honestly so can Barbara. I believe that is hinted at in Joker War and further suggested with the mishandling of James Jr. finally over.

There is an idea that Bat characters cannot be happy and that marriage ages characters. Dick Grayson is the proof that light can come from darkness and they can continue to fight crime if they are happy. Barbara has had trauma but does not have a tragic origin like pretty much all other characters that have been Bat Family associated. It needs to happen.

I am going by what CKD motto is, ' if its not on my shelf it did not happen'. My LCS owner offered me a copy of the first issue and I turned it down so it did not happen.

And here I thought the existence of multiple Jokers was going to be the most offensive thing about the series.

The thing about the first issue is while I like everyone hate the concept of there being more than one Joker it was well written and drawn that I found it hard to knock it. Then again I felt the same way about most of Doomsday Clock and then that ended up being pretty botched in the end.
