Holy god damn f-cking sh-t this movie is going to be insanely fun to watch, it finally clicked on what they're going for. It's going to go full meta that Detective Pikachu won't be able to do since it has more of a reputation to keep while here they'll just be playing around with the franchise like the Sonic the Hedgehog twitter.

I might be wrong but, really why else would they make such a bizarre take on Sonic? They have a master plan, count on it.

How you know its Legit? nobody hasn't come with any proof that it is. Its just an image that was posted on twitter. Until I see this at a theater. I won't believe it. And even if it was real. Yes they have. It's already been confirmed the poster was at a Century Theaters in Walnut Creek, CA. In other words, it's legit. Accept it or move on, I honestly don't care.

I don't care about the standee since. We still don't have any idea of what his face is going to be like. The filmmakers right now are probably reading all the reactions to the silloutte. and they have plenty if time to tweak Sonic's look til November 2019. and plenty of time to tweak his design when they release a trailer.

Sonic is practically an alien to us. Why would he not noodle limbs? Who are we to say what another species looks like?

Because to make him live action (whether he’s on earth or on another planet) his body needs to have some kind of structure.

It just wouldn’t fit to be 100% cartoon accurate with realistic fur/skin. He’d come off like a sports mascot.

As for the designer quote and the IGN article mentioning Sega probably wasn’t happy with the eyes well it’s unfortunate if they’re really that against it but until I see his face for myself and judge it based on context of live action interpretation I can not form a proper opinion.

All I see is an anthropomorphic outline and blue fur...which is totally expected.

Its definitely legit. Found another image. You know what. I don't care. Sonic fans can be prickly as any other fans are when it comes to the designs. They are overeating to a silhouette image anyways. Hopefully once they reveal his full image. People can calm down. It took fans a while to get used to the Sonic Boom designs.

The point of contention to the fans is the face I believe.

We are literally getting a Live Action Pokémon movie that has the Pokémon look as though they were torn straight from the games into our world and they still look great.
