I'm not crazy about Goldar's look right now. Hopefully, it will look better on-screen. Comicbook.com has new photos of the Power Coins.

When does MMPR#10 come out from Boom! Studios? I went by the comic shop to pick it up with TMNT Universe#5, but it was not at the shop. Was it pushed back a week to 12/28?

Filming has wrapped on the first season of Ninja Steel. In a few weeks, the cast will reunite and film the second season, which will be PR's 25th anniversary. There are special plans to mark the occasion

A few comments about the movie, I don't understand why people keep complaining, everything we've seen about it has been terrible except for the trailer, I still think they can somehow make the concept work in the end product though but we won't know until other trailers or the movie is finally out. It's also odd they chose to go with MMPR since they're definitely going for an alien powers look which while totally fits Power Rangers in general it doesn't mesh as well with MMPR and the dinosaurs motiff seems almost random but I guess you can say something similar to the original MMPR.
I also started my MMPR marathon, I'm on the early episodes so far but I can understand some of the changes now, if by their "research" of the source material they only skimmed through these first season one episodes then it really needed a re-imagining as most of these things don't work very well, now I remember the season does get better as it begins to find itself and of course if we take a look at the nearly 25 years of Power Rangers seasons they mastered many things that in these first episodes are really rough like transitions and 90s cheesyness which the creators of the movie might not know about so they went their own way. |

I have a few questions about the Disney version of MMPR they made before they sold the franchise. What is the fandom's name for this, I remember it being called MMPRemaster and MMPR v2 but did it ever get another name?
I remember the main changes were some censoring, with the added effects and overdoing the effects making it very slapsticky and the "dance offs" or whatever where any of them worthwhile? anything else I'm missing? I remember there was a montage that came out very well and someone uploaded it on youtube but I can't find it anymore, anyone know what episode it's from? I thought it'd be the last episode but I don't see it there. I started my MMPR marathon on Netflix like I had mentioned and wow I can't believe how nice it looks compared to how i watched it ten years ago. I'm two thirds done with S1 so I'll definitely be able to make it through S3 without a problem and likely Zeo as well as one of you recommended since it finishes most of the storyline. Hell I might even go for Turbo-IS(orLG) but I'll see how I feel after Zeo or if I need a break. |

https://www.grnrngr.com/revisiting-power-rangers/rvpr15 Now on the DVD front, I thought that the Best of Blue DVD would just have episodes featuring Billy as the Blue Ranger, because of its cover art, and the fact that it has the MMPR logo on it. Actually, according to its Walmart listing, it'll have five episodes (not six as I originally thought), and each episode is from five different seasons. Instead of just MMPR, it'll cover Space, Time Force, Ninja Storm, and Dino Thunder. We still don't know what those exact episodes are, and Shout! Factory still doesn't have a listing for it on their site. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Power-Ran...711#about-item I also found this listing at Best Buy's site for a MMPR seasons 1 & 2 set. Amazon doesn't even have a listing for it right now, but I'm sure one will turn up later. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/mighty-m...skuId=32445241 |

Lol these are releases that only hardcore fans may want. I think I'll get the best of blue but seeing as I have the legacy set and the previous box sets I've no need for that MMPR seasons 1 & 2 set
I'm actually just a few episodes away from finishing VR Troopers. Would love it on DVD

Thanks for the MMPRv2 info, I think I'll end up watching it since I want to write an article about it. I remember really liking some of the edits.
Anyway I'm finally finishing S1 of MMPR and the first 40 episodes which is the original "season" before they ordered more when it became a hit are great, and the show flows very smoothly and there isn't that much "filler" that makes it feel slow. But the next 20 episodes of s1 are so bad and boring, I think it's the lack of story arcs and as simple as the ones we had in the first 40 episodes are those two parters really helped and here we only have return of an old friend. Many of the monsters feel as iconic as the previous ones and the stories are standard MMPR fare but yeah it was a bit difficult to get through them. Some things I noticed is they play more Wasserman music and it's great, I don't recall it being used so often in the first 40 episodes. I also realized how bland Trini is in the series. It makes sense since she's the ranger I remember the least. Her character is really boring but it's not exactly her fault and I can't quite put my finger on it, maybe because she doesn't have a strong personality or a lot of focused episodes? Thuy is a decent actress though and the few times she gets some dialog she does stand out, I think she was just never given anything to make her well liked. Zack also gets less focus on the series but I guess he just oozes personality which makes up for it. I'm guessing if Billy hadn't been given so much focus he would've been as forgotten as Trini, that's what she needed. |

So I guess Amazon has yet to put one up soon. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/mighty-m...&skuId=5714410 Also, it's possible to get VR Troopers on DVD. |
