I might be. The complete series sets seem to be OOP, while you can still find season sets in stores. They're probably trying to streamline that release to entice the casual buyer.

One interesting thing to note about this is Lionsgate is still interested in releasing Turtle DVDs though.
I wonder if eventually we'll see another re-release of a complete series set in proper order this time. |

Not a bad time to milk the older fans in the midst of the Nickelodeon series looking for the classics, and this should sell well given that Season 3 seems to define what people expect out of the OT the most. With plenty of episodes for a long trip, along with clearing out some shelf space, its just more good promotion to the Turtles in general. In a way its like the Season 7 complete set that sold decently, yet was released only a few months after the last of the "slices". Now, I would have preferred a complete 4kids Season 3 set first (at least I have the region 4 sets).

The van set has all of S3 spread over 4 discs (D3-D6) exactly the same content as the slices. It covers the 48 episodes of that season, and I am sure that these, like every other disc in this set are just the original Lionsgate releases encoded onto new artworked discs (well, adding disc 1 thru disc 23 !)
The new release of S3 is strange, particularly after releasing the complete set. And, if that sold out so quickly, I would have thought that a reissue, or a second printing if you like, would have been the way to go. Anyway, it looks like some people here will be getting it. I would still like to see a release of the 2K3 series, which I would buy, even if I do have em all tucked away nicely on a computer or two already. |

Artwork looks pretty cool. Looks like one of the VHS covers was the basis.

I spotted this set at at WalMart for, like, $15 or so.
I was thinking to get it... It be the first set of episodes I would own since I had some of those VHS tapes that have gone missing Quote:
Maybe not Movie 3 but they look bad and do not represent what the look of each movie is. Last edited by FlogginMcMurryZombiePizza; 07-09-2013 at 03:59 PM. |

Got mine today. I bought my first set (volume 1) in 2004. I'd been missing Volumes 4,5,6 anyway. Today I finished my collection. Pretty good feeling. |

I don't get this. The problem I had with Volumes 2-6 is that they crammed way too many episodes on the discs and in result they look fuzzy and like crap. (Far worse than the other season releases).
So now they're just putting volumes 3-6 in one box and selling them to you with still 11-12 episodes per disc. The episodes won't look any better, it'll just take up less space on the shelf. Not buying it. |

The episodes don't look blurry to me. Its not like they bothered digitally restoring the show or anything.

It's like a computer with too much data crammed on it; the more you put on it, the worse it gets. |

Just bought mine. My first animated series purchase haha Haven't seen these since I was a kid.
Instant nostalgia as soon as the opening started. Awesome. Really old previews before the menu though. I'm curious what are the Season 1 and 2 sets that match this one? 'cus I seen a ton of the shows DVDs but I never kept track of what was where... they seemed like partial seasons and collections. Some had sculpted faces on the cases, some came with toys and looked like pizza boxes and etc (I know there was a set cut as "4 slices" that came with toys and together made a season, or something). It's a lot to track and organize though so I never have because I don't know where to start. That's awesome man! I would love to supply art for the inserts but my work station is still not with me. |
