I still won't watch them in a theater even if Nolan directed.

Exactly what I said. Can't stand his style. I hope she doesn't look for advice from Goyer. I lost Superman to Nolan, I don't want to lose Spider-man too.

Webb is doing fine. Just need Arad to get out of his way.

ASM2 was 10lbs of **** in a 5lb bag. And why? So Sony could push a Sinister 6 movie out? Just **** it, no real build up or history of Spidey fighting each of the villains, just bam, Sinister 6 movie.

All it is, is Sony wanting in on that Avengers money. Just without all of the prep work and planning to insure a decent franchise. Instead, Sony rather force out turds, risking an anal prolapse.

They're in desperate need of money NOW and it's that thought process that has led to these decisions.

Ahhh... the new writer for one of the spin offs is supposedly Johnathon Nolan's wife.

Sorry - knee jerk reaction to the usual Nolanite response. My bad.

I do enjoy the batman movies Christopher Nolan worked on, but I am not familiar with the rest of the family. The only thing I don't like about the Nolan trilogy is the effect it has had on the rest of the super-hero movie where everything has to be super-realistic.

But I watched Amazing Spider-man II last night for the first time and I really liked it. It is actually my favorite Spidey-film to date.

Honestly I don't understand all the hate this film has been getting.

Me too. I thought it was the best Spidey film and was surprised by the hate. Oh well. I bought it yesterday so I'm excited to watch it again.
Future of the franchise honestly though seems like a mess. I could see a Venom movie maybe being good (especially if the Carnage rumors are true) but S6 sounds bad. Just give us ASM3 in 2016, seriously. If you want a Spideyverse make a Spider-Woman movie or something. Heck, kill off Peter and bring in Miles. Since Sony loves origin stories.

The only problem I really had with this movie is the plot hole of Spider-man talking to harry and doesn't even try to change his voice.

Why does Peter have to die to bring in Miles exactly? Bendis hinted in Ultimate#200 that Miles could have eventually become Spider-Man even if Peter had'nt died and been his partner, with Peter eventually leading the Ultimates.

I'd love the female spin-off to be set in the far future and be about Mayday Parker, Peter and MJ's kid, and give people an optimistic story rather than the usual dreary angst most Spidey films build themselves on.

Yes, gross is Sony wants! $ gross that is. People especially corporate people think with their bank accounts in mind and the product suffers for it. The Amazing Spider-Man film series is no different unfortunately.

unfortunately thats what makes the world go round. But it does not mean you can't put out a quality product and make a sizable profit.

Sounds exactly like what DC's trying to do...
