makes sense since at the end of endgame Thor leaves Valkyrie in charge and goes off with the Guardians for more adventures.

Christan Bale is indeed playing Gorr the god butcher. I have read/own the run this story comes from and as excited as I am for this movie. The movie probably won't have the awesome 3 thors (current Thor Prince Odinson and King Thor) and his granddaughters fighting Gorr.

It was a great damn story. Loved it.

But combining this with Fat Thor (hahahaha isn't he funny) and Jane Thor... nah, not interested. Not gonna meet my expectations at all, given Marvel's track record with Thor movies.

Thank goodness. Only took half of the existing MCU movies to get back to her.

I know, right? What the fvck took so long?

And now the best of the three female characters has to share screen time with Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson. Grr....

I never wanted to believe the rumors about Jaimie Alexander doing those two "Agents of SHIELD" TV appearances rubbing Feige and company the wrong way but... maybe that was it?

It wasn't like her role on the Blindspot TV show was ever a problem... she was never asked! Until Thor: Ragnarok, that is, where she was asked to film a quick cameo -- I more than suspect it was the random but noble Asgardian we'd never seen before that died quickly when Hela showed up... pretty sure that was originally going to be Sif.

Might not be too late to play the Jane/Sif/Thor love triangle.

I really hope this ends up being a real Thor movie and not just "MCU: Ragnarok Part 2."

Considering I liked TR more than any previous Thor movies, I'd say, Ragnarok Part 2 would be very much OK with me.

Same here. Loved the third film. If I were to rank the Thor films, it would be Thor Ragnarok, Thor 1, Thor 2. If the fourth movie is as fun as the third, it'll probably take the place of Ragnarok or Thor 1. The second film was a pain to get through (imo).

The only downside for the upcoming Thor film for me is that Natalie Portman is back as Jane Foster for it. -_- I just can't stand her character.

Same Ragnarok was fantastic felt like a Jack Kirby comic come to life.

I've never read any Thor comic books, old or modern, so my only point of reference are the movies.
First, was a bit of a slog and rather generic.
Second was a mess. Just a mess.
And a third was what I think comic book movies should be (not all of them, of course): FUN.

It's pretty much a given that it's going to be Ragnarok part 2. the Thor movies were seen to be the weak link of the MCU and then Ragnarok came along and made the character and franchise a commercial and critical hit. It would be foolish not to make a followup in the same veign.

In some ways yes. Just not a Jack Kirby Thor comic book.

I have a soft spot for the first Kenneth Branaugh directed Thor. Everthing on Asgard is great but it's all the stuff on Earth which...isn't bad but not particularly interesting as it could have been.

I re-watched The Dark World after Endgame and liked it better than I remembered but it was still a bit of chore to get through.

Ragnarok is strange because I really enjoyed it but tonally it didn't really feel like a Thor movie. The character has been used for comedy before so it's not too much of stretch but part of me that's always wanted a Thor movie was was disapointed while another part that just wants good movies really loved it.

unfortunately Melissa Mccarthy has been cast as Fake Hela for the Asgardian play that will tell what happened in ragnarok.
