He wasn’t joking: Justin Trudeau interrupts woman during Q&A when she used the word “mankind.” He recommended that she say “peoplekind” instead.

Looking at stuff like this convinces me even more that the line between "progress" and "insanity" is very very thin.

As well as the line between "progress" and "dictatorship".

Yeah, I was going to say isn't Mankind just short for Humankind anyway? I never had a problem with it, I take is as Human, not actual men.

Yup, my immediate thought, too...uh, "humankind" is an actual word that exists? But yeah, either way, Mr. Trudeau, that was pretty tacky and weird to stop a woman who was speaking to, as a guy, correct her on how she should be politically correct in better favor of her gender.

Demogrphic-'splaining to any demographic you aren't a part of will always be ill advised and look foolish, thanks.

Only if the world becomes something like Futureama or TMNT Fast Forward would "peoplekind" not seem pointless to add to the vocab.
