Well.... that looks... not for me. Lame. So Adam got the power by accident & theft? And he can share it like Shazam, with his friends? Wtf.

Remove he-man and I really like the character designs if this show was called anything else I'd be interested in it. It looks like a cool sci-fi world. However that voice acting, it kills it. Whats up with modern voice acting , it's so generic so... souless. All the CG animated shows have the same pixar like faces and voice acting it's so tiring.

A mix of Blade Runner/Trollhunters/Clone Wars/Power Rangers...plus He-Man actually doing things front and centre. I don't see a downside....so far anyway.

For some reason I thought this was going to be a Nick show, although the shows are different in tone and target a different audience, I wonder how much bearing each might have on the other continuing/being renewed for more seasons.
Edit: Might just be how he looked in that small clip but did Orka look a little robotic to anyone? Last edited by newfan; 08-19-2021 at 11:06 AM. |

Me neither, but see.... this is at least the kind of reinvention that is for a generation that isn't "us" and I think that's okay. At least it's not permeated with woke $#!( and maybe it will get a new generation into MOTU. Which is cool.
But yeah, this current young generation's obsessions with socialism and that sort of hive mind mentality is not my thing - the "Shazam family-ing" of everything. It's like the difference between telling kids "this is your hero and you can strive to be like him by bettering yourself" and telling these new generations "you are all special angels who all get what you want simply by being here". But see.... I don't like it, but at least it's a generational message instead of woke $#!(. |

Well this looks... Different... Are any of He-Man's allies, aside from Battlecat and this weird robot Orko, previously established characters? They don't look much like any I've seen...

The more I see He-man in the commercials, the less I think he will be in the show. After the way they ended the last show...AKA He is completely unnecessary now...I dont know why anyone thinks these commercials arent just another bait and switch.

It's been said many times in interviews there is more focus on He-Man this season. It's up to you if you don't want to believe them, but it's very likely the egg will be on Clownfish's face this time.

Its has nothing to do with 'want', it has to do with knowing the advertisement that happened from last time and seeing the end result. They did the exact same thing, releasing the cool He-man fight then when the show came around...everything except that was Teela. I don't know why we should expect different considering how much Kevin Smith doubled down on how amazing it was and how everyone that rated it low are just a bunch of sexists rather then the core audience for the past 40 years. I don't know what Clownfish has said about this one, but they were at least right about the last one. |

A non-spoiler review for Masters of the Universe: Revolution. Only five episodes, but quite an enthusiastic review. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIY8sGC5Ogo

I thought they went with the alien warlord origin for Skeletor here, not the long lost crown prince origin?

If they have to do anything that advances the lore at all then it should be something as simple as we somehow find out that the Power of Grayskull was just revealing Adam as He-Man to be at his best point in life and that He-Man is who he really is, or something like that.
After all, when he met the other champions (the king with the dreadlocks and He-Ro, etc) they weren't all the scrawny versions of themselves - they were all in their hero form which implied that's who they really were. And so the whole thing could be the journey of Adam and what he needed to emerge as "He-Man" permanently. |

That would be true if the comics they put out before the first series were read by the writers *at all*. They were a waste of money and the only thing they took from them was Evil-lynns parents.

Well either way, not giving this woke $#!( paid clicks on Netflix. At all. Even if they adjusted the direction to something less "agenda" and more "He-Man", it's all just an extension of the woke $#!( from the first season.
They doubled down hoping that a second season will also coerce people into more views on the first season (which is a reasonable expectation) and based on the initial premise (as well whatever woke $#!( messaging appears this season, the show deserves to fail financially. |
