This may get me to watch it. She was the best part of Bumblebee. See is really likeable, so I'm sure she gets a lot of offers. She has a bit of an Emma Stone vibe on screen.

She was good in "True Grit," too.

Oh, so THAT'S where I've seen her before! Yeah, she was good in that.

I just hope this is Hawkeye training her to go and join the Young Avengers or whatever while he's still doing his own thing. How sad would it be that he finally gets a solo anything and it's just to pass the torch to some kid.

Not so interested in Hawkeye though, or much of Disney's upcoming, agenda-laden Marvel. It's happening though so we'll see how the people they are appealing to carry it forward in the long term. |

MCU Hawkeye has always been dull to me. At first I thought that it was because he spent most of Avengers 2012 brainwashed but then Age of Ultron gave him his own sub plot which was...fine but didn't make him anymore interesting. I had high hopes for him as Ronin in Endgame but nope still dull and it didn't help that the costume was a very poor translation of a identity whose primary appeal is so how f**king cool the costume looks.
His better moments have always been with Natasha both the more emotional parts and their banter "like Bucharest all over again". This looks better for giving him a partner he can do more of that with sells this to me. |

That's clearly Yelena in the Ronin outfit in the trailer. Also, I had no idea this was going to be a Christmas-spirited thing. I guess that's cool.

So the first two are up on Disney+. Right now.
First one has a strong beginning and then meanders quite a bit.

Finished episode 2. And mostly everyone around me while watching, I'm talking about how Kingpin is supposed to show up... even if thats completely unconfirmed.
Then I'm remembering Daredevil, still fresh in mind from a fresh rewatch. Season 1. Every episode hit hard. Self contained, building towards something big. This doesn't seem that. There are fun enough moments... but this isn't that. That level of storytelling. Basically if Kingpin does show up and I get my wish... yeesh. I wonder if it will even be remotely what I actually want to see.

For laughs, I put together a 50 minute cut of the first two episodes of this, putting a lot more of the focus on Clint rather than Kate. I end it just as the family are cooking dinner.

I guess this whole thing ends in a way to explain who Kate Bishop is and how Yelena joins the Avengers for the next movie.

I’m enjoying the show, two episodes in. I’m not really in love with any of these MCU shows so far, but this one is getting some good laughs out of me, and I enjoy both leads. Plus, I’m a sucker for ninjas and therefor “Ronin”.
My favorite of the MCU shows so far is WandaVision, which I truly enjoy. Falcon & Winter soldier was pretty good and I hear Loki was great, but I couldn’t stay tuned and it lost my attention. This series will make or break with me in the third act, most likely. I hope they keep things grounded. |
