The hell is this stupid "ice cream licking" thing about?

Apparently in USA there's a stupid challenge like this going on lately where adults pick up ice cream packages in stores, lick them and put them back... and UPLOAD A VIDEO OF THE ACT ON SOCIAL MEDIA. WTF?! First of all, that is gross as hell. Second, why ruin ice cream?!

I thought the tide pod eating challenge was moronic enough already, but at least it seemed to be done by kids only. Really dumb kids, sure, but what excuse do ADULTS have to go into a store and ruin sealed ice cream for other customers?

Seriously, can someone please explain to me what this **** is all about?!

They're not really "adults". Legally, sure, but maturity wise? No way. Just a bunch of self absorbed brainlets who will do anything for attention on social media.

That reminds me, I have some birthday cake ice cream in the freezer. Sure, it's only noon, but I'm going to have some. First meal of the day is most important, lads.

And they're dumb enough to upload it and show their face to the world. It's like they're unaware that they can get arrested for doing something like that.

I hope anyone who does that gets a huge fine at the very least.

Heard about this the other day, some lady who sounds like she has mental issues anyhow supposedly did it (plus rubbing her unwashed hands in it post-bathroom visit?) and some guy was a copy cat? Something like that. I hope it's not really a fad. Pretty nasty. Anyone who'd do that has issues to some degree either way.

Luckily it's pretty easy to avoid just by having the good sense to make sure what you buy is still sealed up and unopened. If someone is too absent minded to ever notice, well...

** Secretly peels back all the wrappers to give them all a quality taste test **

Also, watch out for the Pop Tarts. I heard Donnie got a part-time job at Walmart.

Food tampering is a serious felony. The Challenge is a hoax (not that folks won't do it).

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Good thing I don't eat ice cream or any sweets.

If you think this is bad, though, you should see what all the dudes would do to all the frozen meats in the freezer room when I worked at McDonald's 20 years ago. I heard it was pretty commonplace, too.

...I was afraid it would be something like that.

Why did they even do that, anyway?

It was considered the male employee bathroom.

Damn.

I'm glad I don't eat McD's ever. Although I wonder if that's common in McD's outside of USA as well.

No, it most definitely is not, not even here. Most McD employees have the good sense not to do crap like that, since a) they can easily get caught (especially now when most stores have cameras everywhere), and b) hiring in most stores is a bit more strict now. Getting caught would not only mean being fired, but criminally prosecuted as well. And let's just say that the only type of people who might do that crap are already likely on the way out for other things, like getting high or theft of food. In 8 yrs at a McDs, I've never once seen, or heard of, anyone actually doing crap like that. Sex in the walk-in, maybe, but not peeing or *ahem* on the meat. And those idiots got fired, too.

Well, to be fair, Andrew did say "20 years ago". So around 1998-1999, then. Back then there probably weren't cameras everywhere and people sure as hell didn't carry phones with powerful cameras nor were there things like FB or Twitter. So even if someone caught the employees "in the act" they didn't have a way to prove it.

Knowingly, No.
But your average Chipotle might be just as bad from a cleanliness standpoint.

We don't have Chipotle here in Europe. At least not in my country.

But OK, sure, some places I've eaten at might have shady hygiene practices, but don't make me think about it, please.
