Best and worse tv version of Splinter?
Between the FW cartoon, the Next Mutation, the 2k3 series, the 2k12 series, and Rise, which of the five tv depictions of Splinters did you like more, and which ones did you like the least?

Five, there are five TV versions of Shredder, not four.
Anyway, I guess the 4Kids Splinter is at the top and TNM Splinter is at the bottom. |

Best is 2k12 by far, worst is actually a tie between Rise and NM, one is lazy and a slob, the other is going senile and too lady like (they used a woman inside the costume and her movements bleed through the costume, can't unseen it sorry)

I'd say it's a tie between the 4Kids and Nick versions. They seem to capture his personality best. Maybe 4Kids even more since -- and correct me if I'm wrong -- that Splinter was more involved. Conversely, based on what I've seen, Rise's Splinter is the worst; simply being there for gross comic relief.

I must say that Splinter is one of the things I like best about the original cartoon. It might be my sentimental favorite version of Splinter, but I also like the 2003 version quite a bit. Tough choice between them.
"Rise" easily gets my vote for least-favorite.

Not counting Next Mutation because I haven't seen that.
1987 Splinter was my favourite as a character, and I love 2012 Splinter for effectively the same reasons as the runner-up. 2003 Splinter is not bad by any means, a great character infact, but just not as memorable as the other two in my eyes. Rise Splinter is a lot of fun, but for different reasons (milk and cookies binge!). He hasn't been explored too much though for the time being as compared to the others, so I will say he is the worst, regretfully. I feel these vs. threads will be more fair when Rise finishes.

I accidentally voted 2012 Splinter since I thought the poll was for "worst" splinter.

Nickelodeon
I voted for Nickelodeon. I also like Archie Splinter's experiences of international travel.

I’ve only watched bits of 2012, Rise and Next Mutation, but my favourite Splinter is the 2003 series one and my least fav is the Rise one.
From best to worst: 2003 2012 1987 Next Mutation Rise

4Kids and Nick would be best. Because they were both badass fighters and not just the mentor figure.
Worst would be Rise, just on the design alone.

Nick. Although I like the Fred Wolf design a little better.
My ideal screen splinter is something of an amalgamation between the 1990 film and fred wolf toon, with the personality of the Nick version. |
