Considering she's wearing a raincoat, a walking stick, and a backpack, I'm guessing that won't be her standard clothes? I wonder what her "regular" clothes will look like. Would be cool if she wore that hat all the time though.

Oh, and almost forgot to say looks like teen April is confirmed. I figured she would be a teenager again since the Nick version worked well being close to the Turtles age.

I don't know. She looks a bit younger than 2k12 April.

To be honest she looks like a kid version of Kat Graham. Really looks like they modeled the design after the voice actress. Makes me wonder how much of the design was finalized before they chose the VA. Although given they purposely went with an African American April this time, I guess they had Kat Graham in mind from the start?

I don't think the "lighter" "comedic" show will present a homeless April. That would be too serious.

Could only be topped if she had a teen pregnancy and give birth to Angel.

It depends what the show is meant to be and the target age group, also, is April even younger this time? (referring to above)

As for romance, sure the turtles can have crushes, they think and feel like humans, just as others have pointed out, if it is going to be there it doesn't need to take too much focus. They may not go there with this show.

The author of the picture said that this is just a sketch, but my source (sorry, I can not reveal it) claims that the final design is very similar.

Beautiful, that's precisely what I wanted. There's nothing there saying that's April but at least we have confirmation on who the artist is, and she is a character designer on the show.

(Side note how the hell have I been in the game this long and everybody else got "secret sources" but me?)

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not really seeing that as a homeless look, so much as it is a hiking incognito one. She has a walking stick, imagine if she were a homeless kid in the city she might be a little more sports inclined, a la Casey.
