He took over the earth, introduced his Aliens who were really the people from the future, took over the Valiant, captured and aged the Doctor and had a totalitarian regime for at least a year going before Martha - having become a drifter spreading the message of the Doctor - beat the Master by channeling all the hope of the people.

Doctor Who: Full Circle DVD Review
What has become of Gallifrey? Who are the marauding outliers? What lurks beneath the marsh? That was the billing for the Radio Times TV Guide in England on October 25 1980 in what would be the start of the E-Space Trilogy in Doctor Who. Tom Baker's stint as the Fourth Doctor begins to wrap up as we review today's DVD episode, Full Circle. http://infinitehollywood.blogspot.co...ll-circle.html Thanks for reading! |

You're reviewing one DVD out of the E-Space box set? Why not just review the whole set?
Dumb. |

Actually I'm reviewing the whole E-Space trilogy as they occured, one DVD at a time. They were sold as individual releases in some markets and may be broken down into singles again, which is why I'm reviewing them that way. It's also a bit harder to do a full review of three story arcs even if they're part of a larger story arc.
And I'm not whoring anything, you're interested, want to check it out, do so. If not skip it. Seriously people. |

First audio excerpt of Matt Smith as The Doctor taken from this week's filming (contains MAJOR spoilers)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/alun_vega/3865648374/ There's already some pre-judgemental idiots commenting on this, but in context, he's playing a somewhat reluctant teacher role Spoiler:

Been indulging heavily on Jon Pertwee episodes. Invasion of the Dinosaurs, Planet of the Spiders, and Death to The Daleks. Really watchable stuff.

"Weirdest" doesnt mean bad. And obviously a majority consensus holds more worth.

Sarah Jane Adventures returns in October! It seems that they're airing 2 eps a week on Thursdays and Fridays. The eps with The Doctor in them will be airing Oct 29th and 30th.

A majority consensus doesn't necessarily mean that the serial was actually good or great, though -- it just means that a bunch of people thought it was. And no matter what your political views, you'd probably grant that a majority is not infallible.
Anyway, I'm not surprised that "Talons" made the list, and I probably wouldn't hotly debate its inclusion on there (though I'm not sure it would make my top ten). "Human Nature" and "The Family of Blood," however, were bloody awful in my book -- they were not only quite infuriating (among other things, I absolutely could not stand the treatment of Martha in those serials, and it didn't benefit the story at all), but also came across as completely pointless given how effortlessly the Doctor curbstomped the Family at the end. So he let Martha endure months of cruel treatment from everyone -- including himself -- and people in that town die... just so he could be "kind" to a gang of bodysnatching gas beasts? Lame. And hurray for more Sarah Jane Adventures! Of the current Whoniverse shows, TSJA is easily my favorite.
