Sweet summer children know nothing of Google.

I also notice a lot of hispanic families have large amounts of kids, as well as some black families. Although as said, most of this is likely unwanted pregnancies and people living in poorer parts of the world. I can't imagine bringing a kid into this world and not having the means to take care of them, it's not only ruining your life but this new young child.

How the hell are you a Summer child if you were born in December?! March isn't a Summer month. . Or does it mean something else?

Probably because poverty rates, low education and religious affiliation rates are higher in those groups of people? Poor white and Asian people also tend to have mroe kdis.

Merely anecdotal, but people who have the most kids(as in 4 or so) tend to be either poor or quite upper middle class or even rich. Middle class and lower middle class people usually only have 1 kid or 2 at the very best.

I'd actually be curious if there's statistics to support this.

And whether or not your anecdotal evidence takes blended families into account.

Cousin of mine has six children. Two were from their first marriage, two came with the second spouse, and then they had two together.

Now that you mention it... it'd be interesting to see. Although it might vary by region or country. I mean... not every country gives people who have kids the same exact benefits. Also, keep in mind that Europe as a whole faces an ageing population crisis, while the Americas don't.

Some of it is an agricultural mentality. "We need to have a lot of kids to tend the farm! Keep up the livestock!" etc.. It's expected in a lot of Hispanic countries. In fact, there is a certain shame if you're a woman who doesn't have a ton of kids in, say, Mexico. It tends to carry over in a lot of cases, even when they're here... even without any farm or livestock.

As to the... we'll call it the "inner-city" thing, it's a mixed bag. There's "Imma trap him with this baby! Then he won't leave, uh-uh!" There's "I'm super religious, no way would I abort this baby. Or the next one. Or the next one. I don't need a man!" There's "I know if I have these babies, they gonna love me! I want so bad for someone to love me, this is the way!" There's "Imma have a bunch of kids so I can get this $20,000 a year in tax money." There's mixes of those. There's lots of things.

Largely a product of broken homes, no structure, "Teen Mom"-type reality shows, or simply "my mom and/or dad did that, so nothing wrong with doing the same!" And certainly a product of nothing in place to stop them from doing so.

Absolutely crazy. 2 kids is ideal for most people, maybe 3 at the most. Any more than that and you're asking for trouble.

How about a thousand?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List..._most_children

"Genghis Khan: He is said to have fathered at least 1,000 children, possibly as many as 2,000 from as many as 3000 wives. Genetic analysis has shown he is a male-line ancestor of 0.5% of the world's population."

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Then I guess the world record is this couple, who both had 69 children. The man had other wives later on, but they were both peasents so its safe to say that atleast the mother was raising those 69 children without any help.

Let's break this down, shall we?
16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets

Quote:
In humans, the average length of pregnancy (two weeks fewer than gestation) is 38 weeks with a single fetus. This average decreases for each additional fetus: to thirty-six weeks for twin births, thirty-two weeks for triplets, and thirty weeks for quadruplets.
(1)

So that's:

16 twins(36 weeks)
7 triplets (32 weeks)
4 quadruplets (30 weeks)

Which adds up to a total of 17.69 years doing nothing but gestating.

Science can help you out with that, if you like.
Zygotes will implant pretty much anywhere...

Wow, this thread is getting way too scientific for me. This is above my pay grade, I need someone to explain this to me in laymans terms. Not all of us went to Harvard and Yale.

You don't need to go to Harvard to know what a "zygote implanting" means, it's like...eighth grade biology. Maybe seventh if you're lucky. Ninth if you're not.
