He flew like a Mary Poppins, with lightsaber rotating like helicopter blades, calling everyone "Mother****ers!".

I hope Windu is dead for real. He died with honor.

I wouldn't mind seeing more of the character, but in the end, I'm with you on that. Some things in the story need to just be left.

So John Williams is doing some score. And Jimmy Smits is in it as well.
https://www.darkhorizons.com/kenobi-...s-jimmy-smits/ I must admit, I'm most looking forward to this out of any of the announced Star Wars TV shows. It has the highest probability of not sucking while feeling the closest to the "importance" level of a real Star Wars movie. Like, it would be fairly hard for anyone involved to f*** this up, plus this has been developing longer than any of the Star Wars TV shows on the table, past or present. This isn't a Book of Boba Feet, "sh**, we have to put something together from scratch in less than a year!" at all.

It IS a shame they wasted Darth Maul: Round 2 in "Rebels." This really would have been the perfect place for it. That's a shame.

They could very well do a live-action version of the scene. It may feel like repetitive content to some but of course I'd wager 80% of people never watch the Star Wars cartoons so it would be new to them.

I guess that's a thought. Obi-Wan reflecting on things, remembering. Or having it as some kind of prologue piece. I'd take that over nothing.

I hated Darth Maul in the Clone Wars, literally made no sense. But I did like that expanded universe dark horse comic before Rebels ever did it. They already teased there would be a rematch between Obi Wan and Vader, I'm guessing it'll be some type of illusion so perhaps in the same way they'll get Maul back, not likely but whatever. Disney Star Wars TV shows are as canon to me as the silly comic or books of the old EU so I'm up for most things since it's only "Canon" if I want to in my mind, might as well do cool stuff even if not logical.

Kenobi basically does nothing but react to things while all the women do stuff. |

Damn it feels weird seeing Ewan McGregor aging since he looked youngish in Ep1, he looks like he's becoming a great Obi Wan, the problem is that he's supposed to age 30 years in only 10 years but that's a problem the prequels made with the timeline.
This is pure Prequel fanwank mixed with rebels cg show fanwank, which is great instead of Original trilogy fanwank mixed with Clone Wars fanwank of the previous show. How long can they keep the fan service going for before we get burnt out? |

I wonder if we'll "see" Obi-Wan talking to Qui-Gon Jinn, as Yoda suggested in III. It'd be nice to see Neeson show up.

I'm pretty sure there was a Clone Wars ep where they did it..... It's been a while since I watched those though. It might've been Yoda.

In seriousness, I am fine with it. I think, killing him like that in Episode 1 with barely any characterization was a mistake, but reviving him was even bigger mistake. |
