I want to like it, but I don't.

I don't get it. Most I can gather is it looks like Wanda can't cope with her loss so she somehow bent reality to bring Vision back or whatever? And that the boardroom behind this must have been smoking bowls of the **** during the entire process, beginning to end?

This is based partially on Tom King's Vision comic book series, which while equally pretty trippy and good is...pretty depressing.

Seems they've flipped the concept though, with it being about Wanda trying for an idealised family. Wanda is only a supporting character in the comic book, not the co-lead

Looks pretty great to me. Feels like somewhat of a curveball for the MCU, which it needs. They are showing the subdued aspects but you can expect it will burst into color and action by the end.

Glad this is still coming out in 2020, unlike most other things.

The series will be nine episodes

https://thedisinsider.com/2021/01/04...n-songwriters/

The show will have several songs penned by the Frozen franchise's Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez

Was able to watch the first episode. Alright start

Spoiler:
I like that we got to see Vision at his workplace, sets up more characters and it did a good job of prepping us for the circumstances of the dinner party.

"Breakfast for Dinner"...heh, it is hard to tell sometimes in black and white just what time of day it is.

Mrs. Hart covering Wanda's eyes and saying "this guest is leaving your home" sounds like security clearance to me.

I'm hearing that things kick into gear during the third episode, which releases next week.

Elizabeth Olsen is top-waifu but I don't give a damn about Marvel stuff. I must admit the series' concept seems quite original though.

Overall I like it, but don't love it. They waste too much time on the sit-com plots and there's very little progression of the overall mystery until towards the end of each story.

Hmm, I've seen some people compare it to "Twin Peaks", that sounds like a big reason why, albeit with "sitcom" and "soap opera" swapped around.

Yeah, the boss choking on his dinner in episode one is kind of like a TP freak-out sequence.

Isn't that the point though? They can't blow their wad early or it won't last past the third episode.

Saw the first two. Pretty OK. Eerie, in a big way. I think by the time we get 2 or 3 more into things we will appreciate this starting off point quite a bit more, the way I reckon.
