Leo and Mike I think are the worst. and Splinter is horrendous.

Opted to go for the more direct Suriano pin-up style rather than the flashy press piece, as I suspect the former is more likely what the actual series will look like.

It's a cartoon and most people either don't do their research or think kids will be too dumb to notice. They may very well just have the kid carrying the bowl of turtles with no real explanation of why he decided to pick one of each type.

Or they might change the origin altogether, maybe have Oozagen somehow get into the pet shop and somehow these particular turtles got in contact with it, or who knows what they'll do.

The turtle and April designs are already growing on me. I’ll just ignore Splinter for now though. I wonder what the kid audience will think about Splinter. Seems nightmare inducing.

It doesn’t strike me as that younger feel I thought it was suppose to have. I was expecting half shell heroes.

I'm guessing their mutations will be magic related, I think they'll only add Shredder eventually because of fan complaints.

I still would've preferred a Teen Titans Go type of show but this is the best next thing.

I also would've preferred for the 2012 show to have been 2D animated and this show to have been the 3D one, but oh well.

One hour to go: I wonder if we'll get any new synposis or other artwork or if it'll be the same. Counting it's a livestream I'm guessing some details. What did the EW article say besides the pictures?

I think you guys are assuming too much about this show; the origin for the Turtles is likely gonna be wayyy different than anything previously

I like the designs, I'm not getting teen titan go vibes at all. Raph and leo are fine but I'm not fond of Donnie's box head and Mikey's smiley faces though. And the new April is cute.
They are much better than the ones we got earlier, it's very sleek and more detailed.

edit: Splinter looks AWFUL

They were saying in the report that all four turtles are different species of Turtles.

Donnie is a Soft Shelled Turtle

Leo is a Red-eared slider

Mikey is a Box turtle

And Raph is a Snapping Turtle.

In previous incarnations they were based off red-eared sliders, though never really stated what sort of Turtles they were originally. And even the last incarnation they had one joke moment where Donnie tries to speculated what sort of Turtles they may have been before their mutation.
