Homecoming is the name of one of the storylines from the comic, though I hear the film will be inspired by both the Ultimate comics and the Spidey Loves MJ books from the 2000s

It seems very reminiscent of the "Spectacular Spider-Man" TV series, which is a good sign.

If the focus remains on Spidey and how he's balancing his lives as superhero and school kid, and they only use some of the villains as one-act or one-scene antagonists (e.g. Zsasz from Batman Begins), you can have more than 2 villains.

I don't understand how Carnage can be rumored personally. In terms of film, you need Eddie Brock first alongside the symbiote storyline and finally Venom while also sprinkling in Cletus Kassidy. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of Carnage as a villain outside his design, but I think a sequel should be in order instead of jumping the gun.

Me personally? I'd rather like to have Kraven as a villain or either Mysterio/Chameleon in a sequel. (they both have similar potential, no? Psychological mind games on Peter as Spider-Man?)
