You know what Reeves did NOT do? He did NOT reconfirm Affleck. More confirmation is needed, clearly.

No blame them for running something they know will generate clicks instead of doing any type of legwork to confirm a story.
Most of these clickbait sites posted articles about THR's claim that Reeves' Batman wasn't part of the DCEU and that Affleck wasn't playing him AFTER THR had already redacted the story and said it wasn't true. |

Does Matt Reeves have any dislike toward Affleck? I mean there's no reason why he shouldn't want to use him. He's not doing an origin story so they don't need a younger actor. And Affleck praised the hell out of Matt Reeves.

That report is probably more noise that'll be dispelled by WB, but isn't it interesting that Ben's people never seem to be the ones doing that? Maybe he doesn't know or doesn't care what some idiots say on the Internet, but I still think it's weird that, for a project he couldn't stop talking about a year ago, he doesn't seem eager to correct anyone on what this film will be.

It still boggles my mind that of all the major comic book franchise cinematic universes, the hardest one to pull off is the only one that has succeeded.
Nobody knew or cared about Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, or Ant-Man and Doctor Strange. But the Avengers is now a gangbusters billion-dollar franchise... And huuuuuuuge power players like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, and the X-Men? Making money but just a convoluted frustrating mess. It should be SO SIMPLE.

I'm a DC fan, at least on the animation and movie side of things. Iknew NOTHING about the marvel characters. Yet, at least as far as their films go, i'm far more interested in them than I am Superman these days, and ALSO far more willing to try out new characters I never heard of before. Black Panther should be interesting. Ant Man was fun. Where is the Atom movie? Shazam? Plastic Man? Martian Man Hunter? How can the movie division of WB mess things up SO BADLY? Hell, even the TV division is starting to foul up. The only one I really enjoy is Flash. and even that has it's limits it seems. the only people who get these characters most of the time seems to be the animated guys. no one else has a clue. |

But I think it has something to do with the fact that both DC and X-Men movies are made more by producers than directors. And modern DC in general (well, not only modern considering such masterpiece, like Batman & Robin), is absolutely clueless, when it comes to creating good comic book based movie. Their plan was to immediately hop on those Avengers sweet money bags, without doing any preparations and...naturally it had backfired HARD. The fact that have taken Snyder as the ideologist of the cinematic universe, certainly didn't helped. Though, I wonder, if it was not Snyder, but someone else, could their project become successful? Schrodinger's Batman. |

Man, maybe he's just tired, but he says it in such a "I don't even frickin' care anymore" tone.

He seemed downright angry at the question.

Yeah, it's been too many weeks since the last confirmation. I need my "Say you're in The Batman, Affleck!" fix for the month.
