While that score is decent by other movie standards, for a Disney Star Wars movie it's the lowest to date, as TFA, Rogue One, and The Last Jedi all have much, much higher.

Most likely Disney is going to take the low score seriously, I doubt this will get any sequels. I can't imaging the business execs at Disney are happy right now.
I don't think Disney cares about Rotten Tomatoes scores. They care more about how much it'll make.

Seen it twice.

Really enjoyed it. I never understood the hype for Han Solo & Lando before but I do now.
I knew
Spoiler:
Darth Maul didn’t die in PM but to see him in a SW movie again was a delightful surprise.

Of course the ending demands a sequel. Bring it Disney!

Ranking (great to worse):

Phantom Menace
A New Hope
Solo: A Star Wars Story
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Return of the Jedi
The Force Awakens
The Last Jedi
The Empire Strikes Back
Revenge of the Sith
Attack of the Clones

Why is Empire Strikes Back so low on your list when it's generally considered the best Star Wars movie?

Empire is slow, lots of boring scenes and too overrated imo.

“Luke... I am your father.” “Nooooo” Okay drama queens.

I don’t hold it so high even after repeated viewings. It’s not bad as the 2 prequels with Hayden Christensen’s bad acting though.

Saw "Solo." Good, better than the last two numbered movies -- which isn't saying much at all -- and a way better SW film than "Rogue One." I liked basically all of the actors and actresses, even managed to buy the new Han and Lando. Movie was a little too predictable... the pieces and everyone's fates come together exactly how you would imagine with very few surprises. I didn't like L3 (the robot) and the theater I was in didn't laugh at any of her jokes... which is really all she did, joke. Mostly robot activism jokes. In fact, the theater was pretty dead quiet throughout the whole movie, which is very strange to see in a Star Wars movie premiere. That said, at the end the audience DID loudly applaud, something that didn't happen at any of the post-Disney SW movies.

Personal SW rankings for me: 4, 6, 5, 1, 3, S, 2, RO, 7, 8.

Spoiler:
* I can't imagine we'll see a Solo 2... there is literally no room for it. If there was, with where things are left it could only be "The Jabba Mission," with him dropping his cargo and fleeing back to Tatooine... and what a lame movie that would be. Fortunately, we don't need a Solo 2. We didn't even really need a Solo 1. A Lando prequel to this might be interesting, if even more unnecessary.

* I expected more from the Chewbacca-Han life debt. Han just sort of goes "Hey! Stop killing me! I speak a little Wookiee (for some unexplained reason)!" and then Chewbacca is just sort of fond of him from that point on. You don't get a good sense of Han saving his life... the other way around, if anything, and it's not really verbalized.

* Neat to see Maul. I get the irritation about, "Wtf, why would they expect us to watch 'Rebels' and 'Clone Wars' first?" I've never seen any of the cartoons and it didn't bother me. That said, I prepared my wife with a "Darth Maul is in it. I'm not sure where, but he is," and she still came out of it going, "Hah! That was a good one, you told me! There's no way that was Dart Maul. He looked nothing like him and we saw him cut in half!" *shrug* I guess I'm not entirely sure the point, though? It is cool and new to see the post-Disney people actually utilize some prequel stuff for once, whatever the case.

are you a younger person, 30 or under? most kids these days are used to fast paced action and fast cuts. I, personally, find that style very tiresome. your eye does not have time to adjust and take in all that is on screen.

with a 'slower' movie...you have time to build up the atmosphere more.
The lightsaber battle between darth and luke is pure magic. no music. the only sound is the lightsabers, which might as well be music itself, as the sounds they make are VERY identifiable when played just by themselves.

just because something is faster paced doesn't make it more fun.

Movie exceeded my super low expectations. It's fine. Too much fan service but all these anthology movies with OT characters are going to have this. Nothing special but an enjoyable movie. I liked Alden in the role. Wish they could've kept Michael K. Williams on board instead of Bettany. I liked the Enfys Nest reveal too.

Spoiler:
My favorite moment was easily the crowd reaction to Maul. One guy let out a very loud "What the ****?" - I think that was the only time I laughed during the movie. None of the jokes in the movie landed at all.

Just saw Solo today. It was really good. Despite all the productions problems it had and them having to reshoot 80% of the movie. the movie turned out to be good.

This presents a continuity problem...
Spoiler:
Darth Maul is present working with Han's first love. Maul should be dead if The Phantom Menace is 19 years before A New Hope and this takes place mostly what 7ish years ahead of A New Hope?
Also, C3P0 was said to appear, but it must have been a blink and you will miss it cameo. Where was he in the film?

Maul being alive isn't new information, his return is explained in the expanded material and the animated SW cartoons. This is just the first instance of the live-action movies acknowledging the other canons

Spoiler:
I only watch the movies not any of the cartoons. I know Maul somehow survives being cut and half and falling down a reactor since he is mostbpositive aspect of The Phantom Menace. Don't anything else or if its continuity. So Maul isn't working with Palpitine, but is an independent force working the black market or something?

Why do people ignore the cartoons? If he's alive in that he would still be alive here. He later meets his end in Rebels.

Try using spoiler tags through Memorial Day, Cubed. Some of us would not know because we are casual fans instead of hardcore fans who read and watch everything. If its not a Star Wars movie I don't have any interest( aside from Darth Plagueis novel and current Marvel main title). A lot of others are like that as well. That is why the confusing. I even heard a moviegoer shout out,
Spoiler:
If Maul is alive Han is probably Leia's father's age, eww".
