Roger Craig Smith Stepping Down As Official Voice of Sonic The Hedgehog
After a ten year stint, Roger Craig Smith is calling it quits as Sonic, the longest an actor has served in the role.
https://dotesports.com/general/news/...after-10-years My hunch is SEGA dismissed him to maintain synergy with the movies, they'll probably get Ben Schwartz to take over. |

Frankly, I don't really care who gets the role of Sonic. Hell, I won't care if Sonic's silent/mute.
Still, I will miss Roger, and I wish him the best on his endeavors. Edit: It seems like all of the current voice actors/actresses are concerned. |

In all likelyhood, they were not hired to make the story work, just to make the translation less clunky than it was before. "You're not even goo - I'll make you eat - d enough to be my fake! - those words!"" |

They did have more control over things like Sonic and The Lost World, and one of them wrote an episode for Sonic Boom
