what was some of your favorite retro tech from the 00s?

I have to start with the wii, the whole motion controls fad was so much fun. Everyone had a wii, it literally defined the decade.

favorite retro game of the 00s?
Probably Modern warfare 2 for me, I think the first one got a remake right? Hopefully the second one gets a remake too, it's so old it's unplayable now by today's standards.

I also loved the idog used it with my ipod shuffle:

Of course who can forget the iphone that literally changed the world, got one standing in line with the select few 2007, it took like 5 years before most normies got smart phones.

How about any retro apps that you miss and love?

I remember the original Lightsaber game, the lightsaber app was amazing, the original angry birds! talk about real retro mobile games!

Can you believe people used to still bought physical games/movies/shows at that time? I can hardly believe it, but I guess it makes sense it was 20 years ago, we were basically uncivilized cavemen back then.

After everyone realized that the world wasn’t going to end, pretty much normal. Pokémon was still very popular, boy bands dominated the music industry and nobody cared what your skin color was or who you voted for

DVDs were all the rage in the year 2000. That's also the year the PS2 came out.

It's true....
There was also this odd resurgence of bubblegum pop music...

I was in my last year of High School at the time. Man 2003 feels like yesterday to me.

Same. On both counts.

Angel ended the following year in 2004. Too bad all those comics that continued the series were terrible.

Can we go back to that? As incompetent as Bush was or as perverted as Clinton was, I don't remember grandpa being banned from family dinners or families and friends being separated because they voted for them back then.

"You voted for McCain, our friendship is through!". Can you imagine such nonsense going on back then?

It wasn't ideology/a religion yet.

If anything, the digital age is making people less civilized and overall more useless. The younger generation‘s attention span as well as their motoric sensitivity and skills are decreasing. The part in Wall-E where all the humans have become useless fatsos is getting more likely by the day.

That's probably the main reason new shows don't become "huge fads" anymore like say Buffy or old comedies and such, because now there's just "too much" content available on either TV, computer, streaming, etc.

It felt like back in the day most people tended to watch the same shows since fewer channels were available and there was no online streaming. It makes sense why all the children fans from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's like Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, Pokemon, Harry Potter, Dragon Ball Z, Spongebob, etc. all got as big as they did...because there was less content to watch and people tended to see the same things over and over.

I'm glad that she seems to be getting some much-needed support, from both her fans and non-fans.

I hope that she will be able to heal from the experience.

According to her new book, she was suffering physically, emotionally, and mentally during this period.

I feel sympathy for her. Again, I hope she'll be able to heal.

I was 13

I think most of it is nostalgia. I was a teenager soi will always have a fondness for that time period.

Is it BETTER than now? Yes and no. I think it was definitely a more simple time. Less saturation of media content. The news paper/news and local gossip was really the only way to know what was going on outside of your little "bubble".

I do miss when rap music was fun. Cartoons were only on at certain times so we were forced to play outside or get creative. It was nice to watch certain shows at certain times with family. I was always allowed to stay up late to watch new episodes of The Simpson's.

Does anyone recall the "ringtone rap"/ cell music era?

It was popular fad at the time.
